Just arrived at my sons house in Johns Creek/Alpharetta. Spent 59 years fighting the harsh winters in northern NY and don't want to do it any more. Retired LE working heavy construction seasonally. Take the dogs for a walk around the complex here and see the deer all over. Second year here. Particularily frustrating as I had a frustrating season up north. I get here and tune in to seek one. Now I am living vicariously through you guys. You do an amazing job!! Particularily showing the work that is involved. Just wanted to thank you as one bow hunter to the another. Keep getting it done!! Names John,

Georgia is actually a right to retrieve state. You're allowed to track deer on other properties without actually having to get permission. It's nice to let them know, but you don't necessarily have to. If you do let them know and they try to refuse or start problems, you can call DNR and they'll come walk with you. You're not allowed to carry firearms while entering anothers property though.
@chadmcswain53894 жыл бұрын
@@2lowsilver.... you can't go on land that's posted to retrieve your deer unless you have the owners permission. If they refuse to let you, you can get the game warden to come out and he can make them let you retrieve your deer, but your statement is not fully correct. You must have permission or you have to get the warden out there. We had this issue once hog hunting on the GA/SC State line. Wounded hog crossed over line from swamp in SC and died in field on GA side. One of the guys in our hunting party drove his 4 wheeler into the field to retrieve his hog. Land owner heard the dogs on other side, showed up and called warden. Warden almost charge our friend for tress passing across his field without permission. Land owner agreed to not press charges, so everything worked out ok, but warden clearly explained to our friend he had to get permission to retrieve or call them if owner refused....

Thanks for the video, great outdoor escape after being under quarantine - cabin fever. Nice shot on Lee to the area least likely to cause damage. 😅 To school kids - we are helping sick deer. Love the thinning the herd idea, much like in Texas thinning out the wild hogs. Here in Minnesota, around the twin cities, our parks have Fall parks hunt. Surrounded by woodland, otherwise, Deer become so overpopulated that we have dozens of car-deer crashes.

I hate to talk about this, but, recently I was on the highway when a bus full of nuns wrecked. I pulled over to the side of the road and put on my flashers. I assisted the nuns and the driver, getting them all out before the bus caught fire. Thank goodness there were no serious injuries! Although my car was struck by a passerby not paying attention (he later said he was watching me save the life of the oldest nun (92yo sister Cleverly just before the bus caught fire) -Getting her and her wheelchair out was very hard. My truck, hunting equipment (and a bow just like the one you're giving away) were burned to a crisp. I'm unable to hunt now, but I guess it was worth it in the bigger scheme of things. Sitting at home now watching videos of deer hunting dreaming of one day when I can hunt again.

Only thing I don't understand is how that deer could maintain 290 during the rut in that area.no.one is going to explain what he's eating daily. Before the rut in theory he must weigh 325 to 335 excellent video

For guys 6'3" and over.rated to 1200 pounds.there hunting less than 20 miles from Cummings ga .where they make tree lounges. Best stand in the world. Kids don't get outdoors like they used to. Its sad. I took a group of 14 Boy scouts out fishing a while back and at the camp on the first night I found out that none of the 14 boys had ever caught a fish before. Not one! can you imagine 50 years ago, I bet all of 12 out of 14 wouldve said that they had caught a fish. You shouldve seen them swing a maul to split wood. I'd never seen so much dust. Dirt was flying everywhere. I literally had to show them stance, grip, log placement, motion, everything! The next day all 14 caught their first trout, cleaned it, cooked it, and ate it. Shoulda seen the 17 year old 300 pound defensive lineman for the local football team vomit as he cleaned the trout. I was in shock.......Different generation for sure!
