We have one of these teddies. My Mum bought him from a toy shop in Birmingham and took him home on the Bus. A drunk man staggered as he went to get off the bus, he tipped his hat and said to the Bear “ I’m terribly sorry Madam”. 😂😂😂 Ours is still stuffed and sits on a chair in the bedroom. Like the man in your programme, I sat on his lap to read as a kid.

Years ago I won one and fortunately owned a small 2-seater convertible. With a lot of cramming I got it in the car (mostly) with 3/4 of it above the car. Interesting view for other drivers on the freeway. And again when I delivered it to my lady friend's front door at 2am, rang the doorbell and ran. Good memories.
