It’s hard to believe that she’s still such a loving dog. She’s been looking after that building site for eleven years. She did have a terrible shelter just thrown together with plastic sheeting and bits of sticky tape, what totally fell apart if any wind and rain arrived which did on a regular basis. So someone put together a better shelter which was a bit more comfortable, but nothing our homeless people would apply to be housed in. To see her being rescued, after 11 years, was a wonderful sight to behold. She never even made any complaint of where am I going. Just, please get me out of here as fast as you can before anyone tries to stop you. You can see her face has brightened and I really hope she gets what she truly deserves. A loving family of her own where she stays with them for the rest of her life. Such a sweet, loving giant love ball. I totally forgot to mention that the government of my country, the United Kingdom, have changed the law on dogs in our country, and finally, after a lot of petitions and activists causing chaos around the country, finally declared DOGS--SENTIENT BEINGS. That means new laws will have to be made regarding the protection, probably license and registration schemes and who’s allowed to breed certain breeds. I for one, who”s had dogs for the last 24 years and cats up to then, have always said dogs are,and have always been, Sentient beings. You only need to live with a dog and then you’ll notice in certain ways the things he does. Ask him to fetch a certain toy of his, out of hundreds, and he’ll bring back the toy you asked for. That’s just one example. You’ll know many more only you and your dog will know of. My dog talks with his eyes. To catch my attention, he first bangs his feet on the floor. Once I’ve noticed he wants me, he sets about getting me to understand what he is asking you for. This is where body position makes the difference. If he stands looking at his water bowl and it’s more than 4/5 hours old, he’s asking ‘can he have fresh, cold water. He gets it too. If he’s looking at the French doors, it’s can I go out please, I need a pee. If he starts jumping at the French doors, it means, get this bleeding door open, I need a shit, and I mean now. Running to the French doors making weird noises, it’s get em open fast if you don’t want vomit all over the windows. I could go on. Those of you with dogs know exactly what I’m talking about. Anyway, the way dogs have looked after, and saved our lives, in war and peace, they deserve to be called SENTIENT BEINGS

MAYA!!!!!!! I donated on her behalf a couple weeks ago. She really needs it. This story is so touching. This dog has been so alone and so lacking in love and human contact. It is so good to see her relaxing and cuddling with your assistants. Man all your pups love this particular technician. She is like the dog whisperer. I really was crying watching this. If I'm going to have them I have to do what it takes to care for them even if it is a problem sometimes. I never get mad at them. They mean no harm. I had to save them or most of them would have died. So I gladly put up with the problems because I love animals.

My heart sinks in sadness for this super gentle dog Maya. Besides the apparent skin disease, she looks a bit older but her sweetness abounds. It's hard to understand how someone can be indifferent to such a loving dog. Perhaps someone with no soul?! I look forward to Maya's recovery through proper care and love.
