My family adopted Snuggles when he was 1. I keep having allergies for the longest time. My mom finally took me to a specialist to see what was wrong with me. I found out that I was allergic to my dog. My mom and the doctor told me I need to get rid of him but it was already too late, he was family now. He was embedded into my heart forever. So I actually suffered for like almost a decade, but then my brother took him in for a couple of years. He came back to me and lived out the rest of his years. He was 14 when he passed. RIPSnuggles ❤️

Sometimes dogs run away repeatedly. We adopted a runaway Yellow Lab from our canyon neighborhood friend. We thought he was a bad pet owner and maybe he WAS . Then Mikey the Lab started doing the same thing he did from the previous owner. He would taken off from the ranch and end up many miles away , traversing valleys. Multiple times. He would dig underneath the yard fence, enticed our other dog into running away with him. Multiple times. We got fined, several threats from strangers calling us every name in the book. So we had to eventually surrender him to Animal Services. He eventually got re-adopted AGAIN by a poor unfortunate fool. Guess what??? We got a random call MONTHS later. We heard a panting sound, and a man on the other line asking is if we were the owners. Animal Services allowed Mikey to be adopted out with OUR tags on him!!! We felt bad for Mikey but couldn’t help but laugh nervously as the man said he was being CHASED down the highway by this dog! Mikey wherever you are you are a troublemaker! You had it ALL and threw it all away by being a runaway. My mama and the rest of the family adored him but he was just too freein spirit to be chained down... We heard a rumor he had scaled the wall the new owners had and escaped. 🤷🏻♀️

How do foxes, coyotes, squirrels and other animals survive out in the winter. Stop humanizing dogs.
@titovalasques2 жыл бұрын
@@skonstas4683 Dogs, all though distant descendants of wolves are not really wild animals anymore. They have been artificially and purposefully bred to be our domesticated companions over at least 15000 years (maybe even 30000). Having said that, humans are animals too so I’m not sure wether the word “humanize” can even be used in that context (or indeed any context). The fact is that tribes of humans can and do survive in the wild all over the planet which renders your comment kinda moot.
@insertnamehere51462 жыл бұрын
I could not agree more. I am also getting older and jaded by the inhumanity shown by humans towards animals and other humans that you can get a mindset that everyone is despicable. These video's give me some faith that not everyone is greedy, selfish and uncaring. When you take a Dog, you and the dog agree a unwritten contract to keep a bond of affection for life. A Dog should never be betrayed!

The flip side of the coin is that most dogs (and cats) need to be spayed and neutered. I volunteer a bit for the ASPCA, and it breaks my heart more than anything to see unwanted and abandoned dogs. Breaks my heart extra when they’re aggressive, because that’s the only way they know to survive in a cruel world.

The world is full of questions that will never get an answer... "Why would someone leave such an innocent dog?" is certainly one of these
@hamedhosseini49385 жыл бұрын
This is a easy one. You need to understand not all people raised properly or in a proper family. Many have been abused severly during childhood, taken advantage of etc.. humsn being although can cope but can never forget those especially as a young kid growing up. How you were treated, will likely stuck with you till your adulthood. When they are abused by elders as a kid (kind of a power differencd), this makes them to think it will be okay to abuse the weaker once they get older and more "powerful". Hence such sad stories.
@JelenabyMax5 жыл бұрын
@@hamedhosseini4938 This is not an excuse! When I was a Child, older people treated me very bad, that's why i have several mental issues now. But I know how it feels, when someone treats you very bad, so I would never do the same to someone else. And animals help you to heal.

@@JelenabyMax I never said it is an excuse, but it is reality and what they do is unacceptable but you have to realize they have mental problem. If you have been abused by some one having more power as a child (let's say Dad or other family members relatives etc.. or how you raised), you will more likely to pass that on as you get older. Abusing weaker and innocent. Makes it feel like it's a norm as you grow up. It's sad.

@Judy Hopps They may be stupid jerks for dropping him off in the middle of nowhere, yes. Even though, you can't call them heartless monsters for not wanting their dog back. Obviously, they should've known to not get a dog when they didn't have the responsibility to, but maybe they cost too much, maybe they never listened no matter how they were trained by them. I'm not saying I'm on their side, but prejudice is never something you should have against someone. You can't judge people that much without knowing them.
@kchan46104 жыл бұрын
_RealUnderscore_ but i can and i will, it’s clear the owners didn’t want the dog in the first place. it’s their irresponsibility and stupidity for adopting a dog in the first place if they weren’t willing to take care of it? plus, the cost and everything is told during adoption, i just adopted two new puppies and it does depend on the place or shelter you get a dog from, but they make you sign papers and such that you acknowledge taking care of a dog can cost a lot of money, even reaching up to the thousands. you also sign saying that you wouldn’t have the dog euthanized for any reason without telling the shelter, and you would have to have a good reason to do so. if the owner didn’t want the dog, he or she could have taken the dog back to a shelter instead of leaving a dog on the street. in my opinion, leaving an animal to suffer and starve on the streets, especially near winter, is one of the most heartless things anyone can do. so yes, they are heartless monsters, and i will stand by this point.
@TheUnderscore_4 жыл бұрын
@Fire Memes "The cost and everything is told during adoption," well yeah. But people have done this before. Sadly, this isn't new. Peoppe do this because maybe, their financial status plummetted, they lost a spouse, someone died, there could be any reason. Obviously, them dropping off their dog in the middle of nowhere was a heartless action, but you can't just call them heartless monsters. Who knows what they're going through? But like I said, I'm still not on their side. I just want people to at least try to look from their point of view.

Probably because he's mentally challenged and figured he didn't like the dog for some bizarre reason, then started abusing it (possibly blinding it's left eye as well). It's the most logical reason to it, and it explains why it ran off and was afraid of people. Hoping I'm wrong here, but afraid I'm not.
@tomtucker20415 жыл бұрын
VargVikesI hate all u 2 bit wanna be psychologists trying to peace together some stupid theory of how the owner abused the dog. The left eye is not functioning I understand if there is a cut but there isn't one meaning probably leaning more towards infection than abuse maybe owner didn't want an old blind dog so let it loose. Everyone said he is afraid while exhibiting no fear except when they tried to capture it. Then the dog walk over( seemed horrified) then calmly let person shower it. Then lay down next to person and start licking him. He is showing no fear and people just want to feel smart and not even think of the possibility the inner didn't want to put the dog down but couldn't keep it so let it go
@KoxenBols5 жыл бұрын
@@tomtucker2041 I like your logic as well, don't want your dog? Throw it on the streets where it'll have a horrible life and possibly die, totally justifiable as it's so much easier than delivering it to an animal shelter. If you think that's too much to ask then don't get a dog (or any animal in general) in the first place. The dog's body language signifies that it's scared (then leaning more towards being submissive before they got hold of it). That could be because of bad encounters with strangers, but the fact that it ran off and was 10 miles away from where it's owner lives indicates that it didn't have a good relationship with him/her. The eye could be an infection, but it sure doesn't need a cut or any visible damage to have been caused by abuse, it's anyone's guess but neither sounds unlikely. Anyways it had a shitty irresponsible owner who doesn't deserve to be excused. I'm not saying my stupid theory (I'd call it a sensible and possible conclusion for Evija's question) is guaranteed to be correct, but it makes more sense than yours, which isn't a much better one it just shows how uninformed, irresponsible, and careless the owner is.
@Evija30005 жыл бұрын
I think there might be different reasons for why the dog was in this position, but I don't think it really matters. There's almost no option in which the owner is at no fault. If the dog run away, he wasn't treated well or taken good care of (especially considering that the owner didn't want him back). If he was abandoned (for however good a reason), the owner is at fault for not bothering to find him a new home.

Stop personifying animals like this. Animals do NOT use body language or facial expressions like humans do. You could point at any random point in the video and say "This was the moment he knew he was going to be taken care of" but the reality of the situation is that this is something you have made up in your head to make YOURSELF feel better about the dog's situation, and while it isn't harmful in nature, it does encourage the spread of misinformation. Stop spreading misinformation.

How could his previous monster of an owner not want him? Look at his little face and tell me that you don't feel bad. It's not possible. Poor Bobi, so glad that he's happy now.

The owner probably kicked the poor dog out

My guess is that he didn't have enough money to feed him, and to be honest why would you ruin yourself to feed a dog, I mean it's cute and all but it's also quite useless, I don't mean it in a bad way, but a dog is an animal, he isn't here for you and is just here to survive and live his life, what is not very nice in this story though is that the owner if he had no money like in my guesses, didn't try to give or sell the dog to someone else, he just abadoned him whithout taking any responsibilites

yeah He is obviously a very good dog :)

I don't think dogs have the part of the brain that we do to hold grudges. But it did take them a while to earn his trust, if you'll recall from the beginning of the video.
