I went back and tested the Alien vs. Predator game you tried on Atari Lynx, it looks like just hitting the select button with rotate the screen. I'm not sure why that was the default behavior but was pretty funny to see. I honestly thing getting the R43-Pro is a better option as it's at least the same hardware and it's nearing half the cost the m18..

I didn't make a custom firmware but did improve on the stock sd card, opened up retroarch to play with the settings and save overrides. SMS was already setup you just needed to add the folder for it in the roms. Got Sega 32X working as well haven't figured out sega/ Mega Cd yet and does have meh Dreamcast support as well now. EmulationStation is still locked down but retroarch being opened does let you change things. Has support for themes and filters now as well and fixed the terrible N64 experience as well. I got the idea from modifying the stock SD card image from some work done on the m17.

Forced stretched sucks

Force stretch has been fixed for this device as well, it's using core provided now. It was also set wrong from the factory it was using a 32:9 aspect ratio when it should have been using a 16:9 aspect ration.
