Great helpful info, thank you! I've owned an RGB30 since it was released and switched to ArkOS immediately. By doing this, I haven't seen all the various RGB30 bugs others have reported on reddit that were running JELOS. It just works without any issues. That said however, the setup of ArkOS and customizing the various emulator cores in Retro Arch is quirky/not straightforward. Thankfully the ArkOS site wiki is excellent and Russ's RetroGameCorps that you mentioned also helped a ton. If you don't mind learning a bit about Retro Arch detailed configurations and shaders, these powkiddy devices look just as good as my analogue pocket. Oh, one more awesome thing about ArkOS is that it has an option to support a vibration motor in these devices. You'll have to install one (with soldering), but it's an easy process. GBA game Drill Dozer plays great with vibration on the RGB30.

Thanks for this! The OS that came with my RGB20SX was horrible. The text was so small I had to have a very powerful magnifying glass to even see it and I tried everything I could find in the settings but couldn't get the text to resize. I've tried various OS's but your video sent me down the correct path. I have ROM's on a separate MicroSD card but for some reason it's only seeing games on the OS MicroSD. I'm sure there's a setting somewhere to get it to read from the game drive but as long as it's playing games well on the OS drive, I can work with that. The only other thing I need to figure out is the Bluetooth. I've tried pairing with my Xbox One controller but it never sees the controller. I am actually shocked at how well this looks on my 85" TV with some of these old games. I connected my Nintendo 64 to my TV via the original RCA jacks and it looked like garbage on a smaller 40" TV. I'm going to try getting a converter and see what that looks like. If I can get 4 controllers to pair with this thing, I can play Goldeneye. I can do it on my N64, but I really want to try to push this device to see what it can do. Thanks again!

The He-Man game is actually a reskinned port of a much older game called death sword. Sometimes, Barbarian. Great game, and love the He-Man theme.

I got my RGB30 a few weeks ago and put arkOS on it as soon as I got it. I went back and forth on if I wanted rocknix or arkOS, but ultimately went with arkOS because it was easier for me to wrap my head around. I am not used to setting up the various cores in emulationstation... I am used to doing that in retroarch. Also, arkOS has a setting you can turn on called quick mode where you can press r3 + power while in a game, and it will save state power off and then when you power on it will pick up where you left off (as long as it is retroarch). My only complaint with arkOS out of the box vs rocknix was that it didn't have syncthing support, but a quick google search helped me figure out how to set that up with some ssh and terminal command work.

i love the "PS Vita" feel & look for $85 usd... & feels very high quality & better than real vita but with stacked triggers ( just wish we had digital & analogue selectable triggers )...

I love mine. I can play all my games on Xbox game pass without any problem. Also with GeForce Now, I can play COD Warzone without any type of lag.

Genesis version of Aladdin is the more superior version. The SNES version sucks.

I tried rocknicks and Arkos and both are nice. I ended up preferring arkos and putting that on my RGB 30 and the 20sx.

This is a weird build. I see a number of systems are missing like Commodore 64, Amiga, Amstrad, and ZX Spectrum. ArkOS has all of those. Still its a cool machine. I have the X55 and R36S. No need for me to get this at this time. Thanks for the review❤
