I love bluegill my favorite thing about living in the south all you had to do was spit in the water to see if something was biting! If they hit the loogie break out the beer an the Snoopy pole that's under the seat! I live in the Pacific Northwest right now and if you go fishing you're sucking your own stuff when you catch a trout that weighs about the same.

I remember the Texas stock tanks,(ponds). Never stocked,never...Yet, I Saw some awesome bass and bluegill come out of there...I heard that the fish eggs are carried in by ducks as they migrate and who knows how else they get there...???

Get rid of the little ones throw back the 7 inch ones, they grow to 9 inches later. Eventually the fish will be consistantly become larger. The same with bass. With bass eat the Males, they are smaller. The females are larger. With bluegill the males are larger the females are smaller. With farm ponds, your have to manage the population for more quality fish
