Hello I'm thinking bout this one or the Contend SL disc at $1300. I do some city riding( bike lanes some side walks, curls hoping with some pot holes here and there) and group ride where I need to keep up with the elite carbon fiber tri guys witch one do you think would better suit my world?

Dom the fastroad comax 1 is fast but not that light for a carbon fiber bike. its a good bike for fitness if you like the speed of a road bike with flat bar

This bike is about 2 pounds lighter than SLR 1, carbon smooths out some vibration

how is this bike in transporting inside of a car trunk? would it fit if I remove the front tire? and is the front tire easily removable and put back in?

It depends on which trunk is big. When you fold the back of the seat in the second row and place the bike with the unscrewed front wheel, you can fit up to 3 bicycles. But such wits are only in fiat multipla :-D

It's dumbfounding to me that it doesn't have thru axles and hydraulics at this price point. Cheaper Defy has both. ITS MADNESS I TELL YOU!

You're right, the anyroad comax uses spyre. So...defy at $1550usd has thrus and hydraulics, fastroad comax at $1750usd has hydraulics but no thrus, and anyroad comax at $1850usd has no thrus and no hydraulics. Good grief already ;-) Add the groupsets into the analysis and it gets even more confusing.
