I love how Josh puts on his WWE Announcer voice when he narrates these things. LOL Man, my heart was in my throat watching this one. Whew-ee, Sir! Great work. That was a tough job and as scary as it looked, probably the least damage to the fish, all things considered. Could have been much worse and taken way longer. Poor thing must be so stressed out but this too shall pass. Now praying the big boys accept him in the pool when the time comes.

Casey, that was among the weirdest *explanations* of a pet's name I ever heard. It's gotta be up there with, I named my second son Bill because he was born the same week that our gas bill came in the mail. Just say the fish is a tank boss like the Navy Seals. Arapima like both Beta/Crowntails/Arowanas are known as *Labyrinth Fish* they have both *gills&lungs* meaning they can use either one or switch back and forth. Lungfish are similar to to the fish in anatomy as well however,they are in the "family" of catfish genus and eels(but they can survive many many months without water 💦 cause the endocrine slime thats formed from their own mucus membrane..

Was for his own good. He is in larger holding pond and doing awesome. Will heal up a bit then go to the monster pond where he can live out his life 🥰. Other arapaima I just rwhome because I already have 2. But this is a dear friend of mine so I told him I'd keep him around and if he gets his big pond built he can take it back one day.
