Giant Grouper Handline Fishing Challenge - 4K

In this fishing challenge, Capt. Jamie Glasner and myself battle against the clock to see who can land a goliath grouper the fastest in under one minute. We were using a handline as our fishing line to catch the groupers during the annual migration. Goliath groupers are incredibly strong fish and have no fear.

Assuming you had a long enough rope, would you be able to do this on the beach for sharks? Always thought that would be something interesting to do

Daniel Tomblin from my personal experience beach fishing I’d say there is no chance you could do this with sharks on the beach. Fishing the beach makes fish 4 times heavy with how they dig in to the bottom. I’d love to hear from blacktip on this. If he was able to do it I promise you I’d send him my next paycheck

I don't think it's worth it, there will be too much scope. If you could hook the sharks within a 100ft it might be worth it. Plus your rope will probably get push towards shore by the waves and collect debris in the water.

Ella Hayes coming from somebody who used to always get seasick, the best thing for me was the patch you put behind your ear. No idea how it works, but it did for me. I also tried something you put on your wrist, I don't recall getting sick that day either. But after a while, you'll get used to it. I haven't gotten sick in a good couple years just cause I've been going out roughly once a month
