Just wanted to give you a shout out and a genuine THANK YOU!! You honestly have helped me get through a very hard time in my life. I’m a firefighter up north in US, CONNECTICUT. I was injured in a fire about 4 months ago ( saving a cat lol). I had to have knees surgery and have struggled emotionally/physically to get back. They actually don’t struggle so much. They love hunting stingrays, I’ve seen a massive Great Hammerhead Shark, 5m+ leap out of the water after an eagle ray only 75m from the beach. It was insane but a very cool experience. I actually managed to capture its massive fin and then half of the breach out of the water on my iPhone. But I was so focused on enjoying the moment the quality is appalling. I really don’t know how you do it - but you do it so well.

His way of living is waaaay better than buying meat at the grocery store, if every human hunted their food like this man 1. there would be way more vegans (vegetables don’t run or bite), 2. the ecosystem wouldn’t suffer as much as it does, 3. there would be so much less wasted food. Eating meat is not the big issue but the way that the meat is gathered, how much goes to waste, the amount of resources it needs to be done and how the animals are treated is, he seems to be really respectful with his food!

Dude what are you doing feeding sharks from the back of your boat. A young fella got attacked by a shark in the same location just days ago that the Back to Basics guys and Nick Fry were doing this shit at. Encouraging this behaviour makes the sharks learn how easy it is to get a cheap feed which in turn encourages them to seek out Boats and divers. All for you swimming with them and filming them but feeding them is just irresponsible and dangerous in the long term.

In a past life I was a partner in Cairns Dive Centre & Fitzroy Island Dive Resort. We also ran extended charters into the top of Far North Queensland. When we had professional photographer groups onboard I would set up shark feeds & have the group located on ledges to take amazing photography & video. The noise of tearing of flesh from the steel cabled bottom anchored & surface floated bait fish (buff bream) is amazing & makes for amazing & thrilling video... food for thought for you.
