it always amazes me how little all these grocery trips cost. It seems like in the US it would be triple the price

They are shopping at METRO, a wholesale market which we have in Europe (I guess Vanzai is in Russia, Bulgaria or Serbia, due to the cyrillic writing on the packages, even though the channel info says, they are in the US) and buy in bulk. If you bought the amounts of good they do in a normal grocery store it would be also extremely expensive.
