So glad you made a video of Canada, New Brunswick and especially St. Andrews. It’s great to fly the flag occasionally and you two did it in aces! I too have dug for clams in both Nova Scotia and Maine and love just steaming them and dipping in butter. At one point in this, you said that looking at the lobster roll made your mouth water! It made my, and probably hundreds of others, mouths water too. Lobster at its best and you captured it all. Thanks for a great video. Cheers, Colin. p.s. love winkles too😉

@MissLadyVenom2 жыл бұрын
@@nrproductions5776 Not anymore sadly. The pandemic has exacerbated the cost of lobsters. Now the only cheap places to buy them are straight from the fishermen (some places are even dropping them from the menu due to costs).

My favorite video so far. The whole experience is just so authentic, not like on PBS when the host would seem detached. It just look like a really fun date out in the nature, enjoying it all, soaking it all in. It's so nice! That snail thing looks like you're picking your nose and eating your own booger 😂, but I'm sure it was delicious. How come you didnt try to eat the clam and lobster raw, like sashimi? The scenery was so beautiful, especially with the drone shots. Just got that crisp unadulterated wilderness feel.

I loved this episode and think it was time for you to come home for a visit. This brings back many memories of deep sea fishing, lobster pots, and clamming I had as a youth. I am fro New Hampshire, a neighboring New England state of New Brunswick's in the USA. My grandparents were Canadian and we also have the New England lobsters (Humerus Americanus) on our seacoast. Most of all I loved visiting New Brunswick many years ago and experiencing the many beautiful cultural sights of the province. I really enjoyed visiting the Bay of Fundy and getting up at 2 or 3 AM to go to the cliffs with spotlights ablaze, and witness the tide coming in with a great, great roar and within a very few minutes it was 55 feet high and very powerful. A natural phenomenon to be witnessed with awe and respected for it's uniqueness. Best wishes Luke and Sabrina, I look forward to your next adventure, but come home once in awhile, too. ~A New Hampshire admirer~

hm it actually not that expensive for $25 for 2 lobster roll. In the U.S., CA 1 basic lobster roll is $15-20, and that is without the extra topping like sea urchin, caviar, or black truffle. All these price were before the pandemic, so imagine everything about 20-30% more expensive.

While watching anyone on KZbin preparing and eating lobster I find I get really fussy and grouchy when I see them doing it all wrong. Some things are absolute basics, such as taking of rhe rubber bands because they add an unwanted flavour to the broth, for one, and the really important one is how to deal with the tail. The tail ALWAYS needs to be split down the middle to extract the poop-sac. If I see someone eating at tail without doing that I have to leave immediately. Can't watch it any more. Who likes to watch someone eating poop.?

Dear lovely Luke and sweetest girl Sabrina, I have been watching your videos and just thinking to myself what a sweet couple with warm hearts...Such lovely hearts that this reflects on your beautiful faces. I felt warmth, sincerity and all the beautiful emotions when I watched your videos. That is why I kept on watching other videos of you too and I literally could not believe my eyes when I watched this one. I felt absolute sadness and shock when I saw these lobsters get put in steaming hot pot! When I look at you guys I would not doubt any bit of mercy you guys would have for animals. When I look at you guys I could say these people would never hurt anyone. But this video says the opposite. Why? If I did not see it with my eyes I would not believe it. I should also state that I believe this is not absolutely your fault to treat these animals this way. I see this is very common in North America. I believe you guys and others are so used to these animals getting cooked this way or it is so common that minds fail to question if it is fair for the animal or not. But we are humans and we should question everything. Just because we see something from our ancestors and parents does not mean that thing is right to do. It is tradition but traditions should sometimes be questioned and changed. It is scientifically proven that crustaceans feel pain. It has been publically announced. Queen's Universit of Belfast has shared the scientific proof that these creatures feel pain just like we do. Getting boiled alive is a torture! The pain should be unbearable! There is no explanation for killing them this way. If a person is not going to leave his habit for eating these animals, at least he should consided other methods of killing at least! Killing with a knife towards spine is consideded a more humane way because the animals dies in seconds whereas boiling them gives them minutes of torture before dying. Stunning is considered the most humane way just like used for sheep for instance but the stunning machine is not practical for individual use at the moment. Some restaurants use that. Anyway I want you to consider this and google the scientific experiment if you would like to see yourself (Queens uni. Of belfast). I believe in your good hearts that will make you consider this because I think you are a lovely couple who would not give harm to anyone. With love.
