Its Peter the Great's window to the West, its close to Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, theres the Peterhof Palace, the Winter Palace made famous by the Bolshevik Revolution, Nevsky Prospect made famous by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, then the Hermitage Museum with its paintings and Faberge eggs. - the city that influences Russian history - Lenin hailed from here spreading communism from here - Putin hails from here, most FSB - Russian KGB and siloviki hail from this city.
