Please please bring these giant marionettes to Newcastle upon Tyne UK ....... we are the forgotten North of England but I can see the streets lined with happy and delighted people ... what a lift this will give to this area ..... accidentally read about the marionettes this morning re their visit to Liverpool ... was enchanted and even considered driving down there .... have shared with as many of my friends as I could and, of course, my family. Someone .. with great imagination, must be in seventh heaven that it has left us all in awe ..... this cannot be the final show .... it brings tears and emotion..... and we need more of that .... congratulations for all the hard work it has taken to achieve streets and streets of people holding their heads ... and cameras .....in sheer unbelievable delight. WOW!

Saw the girl and dog in action, but not the deep-sea diver as he "slept" an hour past his scheduled "awakening" and I had to leave. Giants were cool, but caused traffic chaos. Glad they didn't overstay their welcome:-)

I thought it was so cool that I worked giant marionettes into my award-winning novel, The Internet President: None of the Above. There's a character in the novel that represents pop culture. She doesn't just write songs when she breaks up with a boyfriend. She creates giant marionettes of them and burns them in effigy at her concerts.
