O M G!!! When I watched this about 2 weeks ago for the first time, I thought, "I HAVE to make these!!" Well, I got all the things, except for the silver square bowl, cause, well, 2 years later and I couldn't find them, or the dessert plates. BUT, I did find small crystal look bowls and clear dessert plates and decided that they would work just fine. I made one today and I'm IN LOVE!!!!!! Now, I have to go get the big bowls for the second topiary. Thank you so much for this DIY! I wish I could post a picture of mine so y'all can see it.

I made these! I didn't use the plates in between, instead I glued together dollar tree appetizer bowls which made a smaller bead (4" W x 5" L). I used those in between all the bigger beads. Doing this added height so I had to add an additional screw to the screw rod with a coupler. I glued on blue fairy lights on silver wire and the wire is not apparent especially at night. I got so many compliments! Thanks for an awesome craft!

Made these last year for our front porch. Will probably use them again this year which will be the first time I reuse Christmas decorations in over 40 yrs of marriage. That's how much I love them. I bought remote fairy lights with a clear cord from amazon so that it would be less noticeable. I used E6000 and a glue gun to glue the stack of bowls together. Used a wood burning tool to make holes in bottoms of each of the bowls - less cracks than a drill but I did get one on a bowl so be careful. Threaded lights through the holes and left the light box on the outside bottom. I did not use any extra plates or anything - just the bowls which i purchased from Dollar Tree.

I think I have the answer. At least this is what I am going to try. I am going to make a side hole off the middle one and feed the lights up through it. I plan on putting it together as I put the lights in it with the cord coming out the bottom. then wrap gold cord or ribbon around were it might show. Haven't done it yet or I would add picture. I don't plan on taking it apart because I have the room to store it as is.
