OMG! This flute is absolutely GIANT! I have played the pan flute for 24 years and I have never ever seen a flat of this size. Thanks for sharing and take care.

A suitable technique to blow low notes (larger pipes) is that of Zampoña TOYO→ kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYvdhYyGiLOteq8&ab_channel=EscuelaAndina

I like to blow a pan flute with a hair dryer for taking out moisture. I think I can play this giant pan flute with a hair dryer or air commpresser.

@@AshleyJarmack Actually I meant, in the Curse of the Black Pearl soundtrack, they use a bass pan flute a lot for the quieter, more mysterious parts. You should sample this bad boy!! I'd totally pay for a plugin

Hello Ashley! Yes, my old friend Ruben builds wonderful flutes, and your new flute is imposing. I have been playing Ruben's work for a long time, and it was I who introduced Nadja to Ruben's work years ago. In almost 40 years with the pan flute I have played the flutes of every major builder and luthier, and none of them can touch Ruben's work, particularly with respect to his bass flutes. Enjoy! These were all played with Ruben's flutes: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKnRh4Rpj9B3Z6c kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoizhmyYrtZ_i5Y kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3WmcpSCrNdpo8k

Yes! I'm quite impressed with his instruments overall. Nice guy and great builder/luthier :-) I used this flute as both a melody and bass instrument in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/np-wn2R-q5t7mZY

What would you say to a Hall of Panflutists listing for your website, Ashley? A photo of you with your new flute from Ruben would make for an eye-catching listing in the "Homepages " section.

That's just a toyo but in the presentation of pan flute
@AshleyJarmack4 жыл бұрын
Essentially yes. Actually, I have seen toyos that could sound pitches even lower than this flute! Since the pipes aren't stacked as you would normally expect to see in a toyo, I didn't want to name it as such. The maker of this flute in Peru also makes toyos, and did not call this style a toyo. So I just named it the same way he did. ;-) Thank you so much for watching!
@MXAmusic-ct4eb4 жыл бұрын
@@AshleyJarmack The lowest note of the toyo is usually a B1 but it can even be an A1 G1

@@MXAmusic-ct4eb yup! I have heard those too. You can just feel those low notes rattling your soul. I love them. They're SO COOL!! This video was from right after it arrived in the mail. I was so excited to share that I didn't take enough time to really explore it fully before sharing.
