Justin and Todd together is what BHOD is and has been from the early days. Keep that going and I honestly miss the old intro. I never skipped past it. Only suggestion I would make is maybe more “how to” clips incorporated into the hunts? Like how Kurt gets up the tree fast while saddle hunting, for example. You guys are awesome and I enjoy watching all your videos. Been a fan since 2012.

What a stud of a deer! Kurt is the man! He has natural ability and is a likable guy. Maybe cycle him as a host every now and again? Or have him do his own segment? JZ and Todd, you are great hosts too but definitely don't go twinsies ever again 😂. JZ does a great job with the Pinch point but he needs a co host. You should cycle in some of the other guys on the channel for both shows to host. Either way, the content is great as is! Keep up the good work.

Made it all the way through the episode, as usual. The nearly identical attire was kinda creepy! Lol but funny. I'd like to see an episode talking about how difficult it is to get these hunts on film. I've tried and there's no way I could kill the mature Pennsylvania buck I do AND get it on camera. Might make some of the "keyboard critics" really appreciate the cool content you "folks" bring us 😉👍🏼 Almost forgot, awesome buck Kurt and excellent complete episode. Amazing buck activity!

Hey Kurt, are you using a call or grunt tube when you grunt or have you simply mastered the vocalization, naturally, with your mouth?
@kurtthorsen55409 ай бұрын
Little bit of both! Normally when I'm trying to grunt loud and get something's attention from a distance I will use my HS no bull grunt call. If I'm trying to sweet talk one that's close, I use my voice. Hard to explain how I do it, but I make it by inhaling with a closed throat. It's been the demise of many bucks!
@huntgatherrepeat60509 ай бұрын

Sure did; as Kurt mentioned, one of our other hunting buddies saw the buck almost 3/4 of a mile away. He must have been running hard. If you ever keep an eye on dogs that are playing really hard they will also do the same thing as.

My hearing is not that good anymore and the sounds might not be reflected well in the video, but to me it sounds like the grunt call Kurt uses has a to mature of a sound. In my experience will often a grunt call with a to mature sound put off many mature bucks that are not that aggressive. They can be great to call in a bully buck, but often not for many other mature bucks. It is better with a grunt call that sounds more like a 2-3 year old deer tending a doe in my opinion, as that will quickly fire up most mature bucks, as they all feel confident of kicking his behind.

WHEN you had that bucks attention with the second grunt , you could have used a doe bleat using your own voice. Doing that right after grunting makes a buck think two deer and one is a doe that is not happy. Think in your mind of a buck pushing a doe and the doe isn't quite ready for him. It makes those bucks high step right to you. 50 + years of vocalization here in Iowa.
@dakotahorn935810 ай бұрын
Think about it , if you were horny what would you be most apt to investigate ....two dudes punchin it out or a guy and a girl having an arguement ? Sometimes bucks just arent interested in a fight , but , let it think a doe is being pestered by a small buck and .........

Show is better when both of you are at the desk. Having just a single guy at the desk having conversation just to the camera is just plain. If it's in the field filming during a hunt that's one thing but at a desk talking, you need two people having a conversation. You guys are both very open and truthful about what you believe. Its better when you have two different opinions sometimes. And one more thing, you don't need to dress alike lol. Bow hunt or die baby.
