Question about the behavior of a female Tegu that will not be breeding..... Do they tend to get moody and/or protective of their hide during mating season even if there are no males around?
@TheJLAMAR232 жыл бұрын
That mako baby is insane! Between the Paraguayan and Argentine Reds, which do you think tends to exhibit more deep red and black color from your guys?
@RoseCityReptilesTX2 жыл бұрын
He is even more red in person, crazy! Honestly they both do, and both lines change and develope for years! It's hard for me to say.
@TheJLAMAR232 жыл бұрын
@@RoseCityReptilesTX just from the time you pulled him out till now is crazy! His red color is super intense! Originally I was really into the crime scene look but man, he has made me question what I want 😅

Omg, a red on the internet that doesn't look half dead! Little heavy for post brumation, but not nearly as bad as I usually see! Nicely done sir!

Very awesome to watch the slo-mo tegu footage along with the groovy beats! Very nice touch~ We have an albino white blue tegu named Sir Ellington Bonez, that we got in New Orleans back in November from J&F Aquatics and Exotics. I always wonder if he came from your breeding line. :) He is eating tons of salmon, and livin large!

LMAO where's the PH music? This is very interesting and good to know. Appreciate you sharing it like this. Most dont share the breeding behavior and what happens next. Atleast not the channels i watch. I've taken to tegus recently though id never own one. I feel that my bearded dragons don't have large enough enclosures as it is though they definitely do. I just want them to have as much space as possible and as it stands here they do. Keep the vides coming. Im really enjoying them.

Glad you enjoyed it. I love watching all the natural behaviors, makes it fun. I always want to give everyone as much space as possible so I understand what your saying.

When will my baby red start developing color?
@RoseCityReptilesTX2 жыл бұрын
They continue to change and develop color all of their life. I see most change occur between birth and 3 years.

I love the slow motion video. It really shows their hidden dental work. It reminds me of the first tegu I had years ago. I had just got done feeding her and I let my guard down to just one second when she leaped up and grabbed the end of my thumb. The pressure was so strong I thought the bone was being crushed. One tooth went completely through the nail.I cradled her off the ground to relieve the pressure and eventually she let go. Ever since then I never associate feeding with my hands.
