I fished on Lake Marion in a large cyprus bay right across the lake from Pack’s Landing one spring. It was a long time ago. The bay was packed with boats fishing for shellcracker in the shallow water. EVERYBODY was catching fish. They seemed to come through in waves. My buddy and I did this for two days. Any of you folks ever heard of ‘tennis elbow’? Well, I got ‘shellcracker elbow’. It’s a real thing., lol.

Enjoyed video. Good explanation of bait and techniques used. As far as finding location of bed(s)/locations fished. Did you'll just know where you were going to fish based on previous knowledge or did you use electronics- side imaging or something else to locate beds/fish before deciding where to stop and fish? Looking forward to upcoming Panoptix (presumably Livescope) video(s).
@ClearWaterCrappie5 жыл бұрын
Wesley Hughes we try to go 2 or 3 times a year, we always catch shellcracker somewhere. But we actually stumbled upon this bed just this year. It was over 2 acres big. We found them just by casting around. No electronics were used. Thank you for watching and yes garmin panoptix livescope is the next video!

Watched this video several times and my little boy loves it. Has asked me to take him in which we do live by the lower lake but not to familiar with any spots on the upper lake. Was wondering maybe if you could help us out on the location y’all were catching those fish in that video? Thanks

Enjoyed your video. We'll be at lake Marion 4/26/2020. This will be my first time to fish this lake the reason we're coming is catch shellcrackers . Will be Driveing from ark. Any advise u could give me would be appreciated. Thanks have good day. We will try catching crappie too.
@ClearWaterCrappie4 жыл бұрын
Tommy Cameron I will be there then too! You will have to look for me. Start at Stumphole landing, or low falls landing or even packs landing. I would honestly trust your nose and odd as it seems. If you can smell them, good chance they are really close. If it is your first time be REALLY careful. These lakes are notorious for messing peoples boats up if you don’t know the lake. If you are unsure, just idle. Shellcracker prefer red worms over crickets! Good luck!

Does anyone in the fishing community understand that if you going to make a go pro video to set up with the sun to your back. If you lucky enough to have a friend with you have him video while you fish. Trust me you well get many more veiws and twice the subscribers.
@ClearWaterCrappie4 жыл бұрын
I appreciate you watching, but I don’t determine the camera angles. Boat control to me is the most important thing to catching fish, so technically the fish dictate the camera angle! Thanks again for watching!
