John and the Ghost Squadron Team give a superlative demo of glider towing with the powerful Wilga tug...and the glider/sailplane demonstrates it power pod which is extended from within the fuselage while it launches the aircraft from a touch and go to altitude for more aerobatics.

Thank you for highlighting this unusual Wilga gasser!!! I have not seen a Wilga in the air on a You Tube video before. I originally though that the Wilga is a plane so ugly, that only a hard core flyer could love, but this one is quite sharply painted and seems to perform well in its demonstrated function. I bought an electric version (Wilga 2000) and a spare from Hobby King years ago. This plane has historically been used in full scale as a WWII spotter and all-round rugged back woods plane, but I didn't know it was capable as a tow plane. I would love to see more You Tube videos of the Wilga in all its forms! Thanks. - Jim

Oh maaaan I just love the PZL.. did not expect to see the power pod I know it's mentioned in the title but I wasn't expecting the glider to take off again.. brill... huh?! I love the colour of the PZL too.. I've got an electrified 35A, an 1800mm Black Horse just waiting to maiden. I'm a Wilga nut I think it's safe to say.. thanks for sharing......

Yikes. That first landing was very heavy. Probably why wheel collapsed on second landing. Grass might have been kinder in what looked like unpleasant (crosswind?) conditions.

I love the PZL Wilga 104. I think this is it😁 my next project. Do you know any other kit's than Black horse ? Unbelievable how tough is the glider landing gear. Nice slow-mo 👍

Did he break the front wheel of the glider on his first landing? Was that why it retracted in his second. It was a hard first landing.
