Man it’s a tie between walterheads and yellow perch for me. Perch taste the best but they’re a PITA to clean a mess. Couple Walters take a quarter of the time to clean.

You did that fillet perfect bud!! Just like I do! Cheek meat on the big ones is great! Just use the tip of your knife and carve around following the the cheek bone. Comes out in kind of a circle. Great vid fam!

It's kind of funny that you caught a 24 1/2" walleye because I just got back from a trip up north to Lake Champlain to go Smallmouth fishing and the first fish of my trip was my first walleye of my life off of a rock jetty which was 24 1/2"! LoL.... we then went on the lake few days later and hammered on Smallmouth and Largemouth for 8 hours. If you ever get a chance to go to Upstate New York and Fish Lake Champlain do not miss out on that opportunity! One of the most diverse fisheries in the country with the most species of fish of any lake.... bluegill, perch, crappie, lake trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, bass, salmon, pike, walleye,.. brown bullhead etc..... I'm sure there are plenty of other species that I didn't list

I was waiting to see if you would go for the cheeks, glad you did, they are the best part. It’s hard to describe how to get the cheeks out, looks like you did fine on the cheek I saw. Walleye is the best freshwater fish ive eaten. I pack tortilla , a good bottle of green salsa and small bag of chopped salad for fish taco. Cool vid btw...papow!!!

I think a southbound toor is in order. Keystone Lake dam in Oklahoma there are some monsters. It would be worth I think. Make sure its a week day. The weekends can be packed.

The Fish or Die Toor totally kicks ass, bro....seriously. In really hot and sunny weather wearing white is much better than wearing black because the darker the color, the more heat it absorbs. Where as light colors reflect the heat...but you probably knew that anyway, right?

Most DNR Officers will tell you to throw the carcasses back into the water. It feeds other fish and animals, and keeps the stink down on the bank and trash. ( which draws vermin). Great catch! Watching from Anderson Indiana. We most fish for gilly heads and kitty cats on worms.
