Hey im relatively new to swimbaiting and i have decided on the tranx 300 to take over as my swimbait reel however i have not decided on a gear ratio The reel will throw a wide range of swimbaits from glides and triple trouts to jig hook baits like the hudd and osprey This reel will also have to pull double duty as a inshore topwater reel

Amazing video as always guys!!! I follow you all the way from Italy and I'd really love if you could help me with these two questions: 1. Should I boil the tail of a 10 inch hudd? And if yes, for how long? 2. Supposing the 3rd fish in the video was a bed fish, how did you present the bait there? As in, what's the best way to "pitch" a heavy, big swimbait when you sightfish and spot a fish?? Thank you!!

How would you approach lakes having a fall algae bloom? Most of my smaller acreage bodies of water I fish are experiencing fall turnover as usual and it turns up a lot of algae. Seems like the glide bite is turning off as the water is reaching the 50s

Guys, I'm officially in the big bait game, glides and hudds, a magdraft, etc. I bought a bunch of your recommendations. One problem is, I live in Wisconsin with the toothy critters of the esox family (northern pike and musky) are there changes that you think I should make to my leader setup to avoid losing my beloved hudds, or should I just let it fly and consider it the cost of a good time? Thanks guys

Looking into getting my 1st swimbait setup, I noticed what you had mentioned about tne budget combo being a dobyns 806 and the cardiff 400, what is your opinion on. Pairing that same rod with the okuma citrix 354? Its a good price on amazon right now, and I really like tbe low profile look, your guys's videos are great by the way! Really helping me get into bass fishing!

Do you ever fish a ROF 0 Hudd? If so when?
@telefunkenyou477 жыл бұрын
Scott Spilman - I'm not Matt or Tim but I find it to be the most versatile Hudd. It can be dialed in from ROF 0 down to a ROF 5 by adding the appropriate tungsten nail weight. The 1-4 ROF's can be especially helpful to those fishing from shore. An instance where the ROF 0 comes into play for me is by casting out from under a bridge where funnel-ing it into the hourglass shape creates a kill zone or ambush point. Look for these same angles when parallel-ing the shoreline. You will familiarize yourself with the term "Power-Suck."
