Giant Talon 2 Overview (Go to bike for the year)

Wanted to shoot a quick overview of my Giant Talon 2 I picked up this year. As a budget bike it has gotten me back into MTN biking after a few years and I think is a great bike for those new to the sport or just adding a bike they ride daily to push to the limits. With a few upgrades this bike is very capable. I plan on doing another video showing my 6 month review showing how the bike holds up so be sure to like and subscribe to stay notified for that. Nice video! We have a couple giants and they do us well. Maybe we can ride together soon when we get back into it. MTB took a back seat for about a year and a half but we are feeling the itch again

I got this and my wife got the Liv equivalent (Their women’s division) both have been very impressed so far. And I’m down anytime just let me know. I took almost a year off and did solely gravel and road riding. Defiantly missed it myself!

got the 2024 talon 4 for 540 well ordered it at local shop, saved me the 50 buck ship to shop fee. to have shop add to its order. replacing my 2014 talon.

Have the same color,changed the fork,bars,stem,dropper,tires,seat havent been riding it much since I bought the full susp. Polygon T7 which I did many changes to as well

I have same Talon 2 2021, unfortunately sittig for about a year, but now I'm planning to ride again, replacing the BB to a DUB 73mm and to a GX drive train 1x11 and sram 746 rear hub, and next to replace will be the rear brake to a 4 pistons lol

I was able to order mine online and have shipped to a local bike shop here in Dublin Oh.

Where is the cable of the dropper post? Itsnot a dropper post ready right?

Mine was dropper post ready. Actually had a bike shop tell me before I ordered it that it wasn’t dropper post compatible. Went to another local bike shop and they showed me it was indeed.
