Sakharnyi Zheltyi is translated as Sugary Yellow. Never heard of it before, so can't say anything about its characteristics. This year I had three varieties that easily did over 2 pounds - Anna Meyer (bicolor), Sam's Canadian (orange), and Aunt Swarlo's Polish Plum (red). Didn't hear any of these varieties in your video. I'm also planning some giants for 2024 season, but I can only trust the seller who claims them to be 2 pounds and more. These are Amana Orange, Big Rainbow, Big White-Pink Stripe, Brutus Magnum, Carol Chyco's Big Paste, Cero Blackburn, Church, Claude Brown's Yellow Giant, Costoluto Colli Euganei, Cote De Saint Andre, Cuore Antico di Acqui Terme (I had it three years ago, got 600-800 grams, but the season was not very good, hope to get bigger fruit), Dinner Plate, Eva's Amish Stripe, Geante De Hott, Giant of Siebenburgen, Gigante Farina, Goliath Red, Granny Cantrell's German Red, Homer's German Oxheart, Huge Lemon Оxheart, Janet's Jacinthe Jewel, Jsalnina cu cute, Klara, Lara's Giant, Marmande Garnier Rouge Big, Michael's Portuguese Monster, Mortgage Lifter Radiator, Mrs. Schlaubaugh's Famous Strawberry (also tried it three years ago but all four plants got blight, and I didn't see any fruit), Napa Giant, Nelson's Golden Giant, Porterhouse, Rebecca Sebastian's Bull Bag, Red Barn, Red Belly, Riccio Di Parma, Slankard's, Sumo, White Queen, Yasha Yugoslavian, Bolgarske Serdze Velyke (Big Bulgarian Heart), Bychache Serdze Vystavochne (Oxheart for Exhibition), Burzhuy (The Bourgeois) - a green variety, the only one on this list, Vid Zuraba Kunahidze (From Zurab Kunahidze) - a family heirloom from the country Georgia, it's supposed to give fruit up to 1,5 kilograms, and Rome. Maybe you'll find something interesting among these varieties for yourself.

Nearly every Brandywine Sudduth I'm pulling is at least 1.5 pounds. Amazing flavor. I don't understand this 'thing' I'm seeing lately with people getting 'rare' seeds from backyard breeders, unstable, fun names with seemingly ignoring & passing over the great tried/true Heirlooms with consistently great flavor. I hope the Heirloom growers are protecting their seed genetics properly.

I am still trying to get the 2 pounder! I was in a contest this year, growing Domingo and it was doing well, then they all just died. I swear! I practice High Intensity gardening. Yet I always try to grow a few tomatoes off by themselves, where they have 6sq ft each plant, just to try to get the big one. Those plants get babied. Yet, I always get my biggest tomatoes from my tomato patch where the plants are 8-12" apart. Isn't that funny? My largest so far were Mushroom Basket. But the flavor is so meh I just refuse to grow it anymore. My biggest tomato last year was a Copper River. Good luck with Goatbag. I grew it two years in a row and the maters were large roma sized and shaped! This year I am 80 varieties, 100 plants in my suburban backyard. The larger ones I am trying are Delicious, German Giant, Green Giant, Gold Medal, Hillbilly (my favorite large) and Royal Hillbilly. They get a bit more space, but not as much as Domingo would have gotten. Agree you have to watch the names. Got Goliath in a trade and then...did some research. Not a giant. Gifted the plant to a new gardener. 😃
