I’m surprised they had never seen tuna steaks before; it’s the once a year treat I give myself. Little over half a centimeter on each side cooked with a little lemon, make sure it’s still raw in the center, and it’s perfect. Love.

Brodie mate. Here in Philippines nothing will waste on that yellow fin tuna. We cook also the head. With vinegar,black pepper, garlic ,ginger add a little bit of spices And add the coconut milk. And that's it we call it paksiw sa gata.

I wanted to add that I was fascinated when you removed the tuna's gills and showed them to us. I had no idea that they were so large! I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised - of course such a large, powerful, fast swimmer would need a lot of oxygen to support its lifestyle.

Nice Brody. We had 10 of 10 hooked up this August outside of San Diego. The capitan of the Alicia filmed it. We had fish for a year. I'd love to share my father's story with you. It could be offline. You helped me understand his passion more. At 88, he had heart surgery and was in ICU for 56 days. I would read his fishing magazines, tell him the counts, etc when he wouldn't eat. What kept him going was knowing he could go back on the water in September - the doc gave it a 4 month timeline. Needless to say, on the 18th, his birthday, he went with my older brother and the 22nd, the two of us. Later, in October I went with him as you need to cherish those moments. I've followed your content for a while now, and shared it with him and many others. I get where you came from, what you endured to press on - I've been there too. Now, we catch, clean, cut - smoke or grill. Love you man - you are authentic and value family and friends. Would love to shake your hand one day.
