Yall broke the number one rule to camping never camp too close too water or in a river bed/wash this is an example I rather drive or walk a distance than have my stuff destroyed since knowing better helps hopefully they learned from it.

about a week. The entire coast of California was under alert LONG before this storm came in. The beach was the last place ANY Californian should have been. And I would be surprised if lifeguards weren't diving up and down the beach on their bullhorns asking people to evacuate before this happened....
