I heard that because Tekken Tag Tournament 2 did so poorly in sales, they worked Tekken 7 mechanics more instead of the story and endings. Almost didn’t work at first, but the patches seemed to have helped it. It really sucks because I see TTT2 as like the fan service game of the series. Having almost every relevant fighter throughout the series and all the suitable endings for each character just felt fulfilling. Especially if you’re like me, who knows all the info behind every character.

Yeah, Tekken 7's kind of a weird case. It has the big central story mode but if your character's not a Mishima they probably aren't in there. At all. So they gave the rest of the cast these little mini storymodes (and I emphasize "mini", these usually consist of a bit of text telling you what they're about and just one or two fights before you hit the cinematic) that kind of just take place... whenever. It's not like they're important or anything.

It's the most fun I've had with a series since the Abby Resident Evil playthroughs, Steal My Sunshine and Burgle My Bananas. Though Voicemail Dump Truck has ascended beyond S tier

Yeah, this video is why they should have had more than 30 games on the list. Nobody there cares unless it grabs their attention immediately and nothing is talked about, just 90 minutes of groans of putting videos in the dumster. TT2 and T7 aren’t exactly filled with great endings, but stuff like Wangs council of old unpopular characters, is pretty awesome. But here the group didn’t even get the premise of the ending.

Yeah, this was a real pain to watch at times. But what else can you expect when you’re just watching these blind and/or indifferent to the overall lore of the characters. At the very least, they still had fun watching the ones they did enjoy. Not to mention having to watch all of these in a 4 part sequence when all they’re looking is JUST funny stuff makes it boring for them.
