If the adept shade was actually invulnerable instead of cloaked that would be insanely overpowered. You would only need one in your army and suddenly the most of enemy would take vastly more damage and not be able to do anything about it. My guess for the Nerazim DT: they are named "Zeratul's Apprentice", are exactly as overpowered as usual; but now a random Zeratul voiceline plays every time they attack

You could have a single adept shade moving around the battlefield making every unit it passes though take more damage, and if the shade was actually invulnerable like normal instead of cloaked; then there is nothing the enemy could do about it

I realized something you could do with centurions. If you remember your night elf deathless campaigns, you used shadowmelded units as walls. That could be what the centurion in legacy of the memes is based on.

Itd attack if anything got too close, dropping the cloak. The cloak is best for not getting killed by flyers or setting up ambushes for attack waves. Makes it easier to surround if you pre place the surround and amove when the enemy is in it.

However, my question/thought line.. is if you made a wall (like a bunker/depo at the top of a ramp or that).. could it mess with pathing.. since 'can't go through there, blockade'. I don't think units would mess with pathing but, it 'might'?

@@Talatharas As far as I know, units don't mess with pathing, only buildings. The enemy will just attempt to walk through the zealot wall, zealots will attack them and then likely killed.

@@talentless4838 Yes. This is a common strategy in In Utter Darkness, using Dark Templar. Make a wall of them using Hold Position, and everything that gets too close gets to see what their insides look like. Hold Position doesn't stop attacks, but it does make melee units inefficient because they won't take the microstep forward they sometimes need to get in range.

Dark Templar ideas: You Are Already Dead: Shadow Fury does delayed damage, so the enemies you slash stay alive for a few seconds before suddenly falling apart. DTs can Archon or Dark Archon merge again. Blind Fury: Shadow Fury hits more targets, but does friendly fire

@@nivannakingsman1383 depends on how its coded. it doesn't *say* +100% per 100 supply of centurion. it says +100% so long as you maintain 100 supply of centurion. and if its coded in a way that matches its tooltip....no, you can't get 100 zealots for an etra 100%. but it depends on how its coded. its entirely possible that they coded it in such a way that you could. i mean..come on, you'd literally need to gut your own economy in order to pull it off, so its not all that crazy

Something that's either bugged or just not mentioned in the tooltip is that centurions no longer get stunned by their own ability once you have 50 of them.

I think they don't target stunned units. Centurions seem like they do an AOE stun which stuns themselves so they are more of a support unit that is just a regular zealot when massed

Those adepts seem insanely strong, seeing as they're effectively invulnerable as long as you cancel the adept before it dies. Edit: well, I guess when the enemy has detection they become a lot less powerful. The 50 zealots at the end was kind of insane. They seem really strong once you get the numbers up.

I love the fact that the centurions stun themselves for the same reasons I love the Orks in Warhammer 40k. Need ammo for a gun? Use your miniature teammate as the ammo. Need to go faster? Paint your truck red, obviously. What should we use this telaporta for? Teleport unwitting suicide bombers! Why can we steal every faction's vehicles except the space elves? Because we keep blowing up every time we try to steal from the space elves, BUT THAT WON'T STOP US FROM TRYING!

assessment of meme adept; really cool idea, super overpowered. If the shades themselves were more vulnerable, they might be a fair unit, but as is, basically blink stalkers on steroids; blink has no cooldown, unit has cloak, and blinking restore 100% hp. Very cool designed, but super over-tuned.

So, the centurion They get double damage They get double movement speed And they get double attack speed. But do they get double attacks? Because they might Which means its 2^3 the DPS. Or 8 times the zealots regular DPS. Zealots do more DPS than interceptors. So they are doing more single target DPS than a carrier, each. And you have at least 50 of them. Centurion zealot is obscene.

Only when you have fifty. Otherwise, they are zealots that take twice the supply, so they will ramp up really slowly to try to get an economy with them.

The centurions if you hold position them have a lot of use. Keeping them from dying to cloak, invisible walls, or just leaving them undisturbed in a corner until you unleash all 50 of them.

The Centurion can be used for ambushing attack waves, as it's cloaked when not moving, if you position it right, when enemies pass, they'll be demolished by a surprise attack.

19:45 I'd think that since there's no corpse animation for the zealots, then have a dragoon warp in at the spot a zealot dies so that it looks like the soul transfers to the dragoon then it warps to the surface. Of course, as a counter-balance to this, I'd imagine the ability would have to be done in an area within a power field, like pylons or energizer fields. *Edit* As an added bonus, if the zealot has a lot of kills, like over a set amount like 15, it could have a chance to become an immortal instead of a dragoon!

Having the ability only active in power fields seems bad if you think about it. You have to use your zealots as defenses or just kill them in your base to get dragoons. I like your idea of 15+ kills getting you an immortal and following that i think you can make it so 5-15 kills zealot comes as a dragoon instead?

Wouldn't it be possible to keep track of the amount of zealots that you lose, and then giving you "charges" you can spend on dragoons instead? The Dragoons would either have to be discounted (because of the zealot cost) or stronger to compensate, but I think that might be a better way to do it.

I think I like this adept even more. Also, about the dragoon. It may be too late to say it now, but, I was thinking of a really cheap dragoon but you can only build one after a zealot dies; so you kind of have a zealot counter and that limits the amount of dragoons you can build.

Man, i had an idea for the centurion to become a dark templar after a certain amount of kills but debuffed the other centurions nearby out of jealousy. It felt a way to get a bonus on keeping them alive but also required you to check and micro so you didn't lose value after a conversion. But I forgot to submit my ideas 😭

I was not expecting 100% to apply to movement, but I really wasn't expecting the bonus to attack speed! The Centurions might be a legitimate threat in comps in the late game, I mean just imagine them against the void rifts. 100 200 is really tanky without even considering armor values.

- 0/10 no Maar on a mission with "pear" in its name. - Somehow, Karax didn't use his "Would you be silent?!" line. I suppose Artanis didn't get on his nerves enough yet. - "Darkcoil now stuns in an area"... but that was already the case. - PLOT TWIST: Maybe (big maybe) the Centurions only maintain double stats as long as you have EXACTLY 100 supply of them. - So Centurions have 2x HP, Shields, Armor, Attack, Attack Speed, Movement Speed, but it sounds like this is pre-upgrades. - Interestingly, despite not having Dark Charge, Centurions appear to still have the normal Charge. Also, when powered-up, they don't stun themselves anymore. I tried observing if the stun lasts twice as long, but have been unable to do so because everything that's not immune to it *fucking died*. - Only 7-8 Centurions suffered health damage in the final fight, and the only one brought in the red was due to being focused by a Hybrid Reaver. - "Each legion of Shadow Guard consists of exactly one hundred (supply of) centurions! Never more, never less, unless one falls in battle. And yet we replace them... quickly." - Actual Centurion in-game dialogue.

those adepts are definitely very strong is used right! Centurions are cheap cloak walls >< that turn into absolute monsters once you mass them, Lots are already huge dps, quadrupling their DPS while also making them super tanky and fast aswell is insane! Add onto that stunning the entire enemy army and half your army is still a fantastic result! I could definitely see ways the zealot dragoon stuff could be done, using something akin to the belly of the beast stun when you die type thing or such but it would definitely be a lot of work for potentially little actual use.
