Infect - Budget Black Blue Modern Deck Tech ($60)

Make a Budget Infect deck you asked... FINE! Blue Black Infect it is. Didn't see that coming did you! Ok what is modern infect in magic? It is another way to win the game by dealing 10 points of damage instead of 20. Play hard to block creatures and then pump spells to make them deal a lot of damage. In this deck we play the best pump spells in black and blue. If this was a Green Blue infect deck it would have even better pump spells, But I demand to be different. Oh yah Phyrexian Crusader is amazing as it dodges both lighting bolt and Path to exile, big win for this mtg infect deck. Also using Livewire Lash in an modern infect deck lets you deal some combo damage.

I figured to replace 2 of the ichorclaws with 2 plague myr just because of the low mana count. Plus it still has infect so it works well. Same CMC too.

@@antoninjanku3358 I'd say it's a pretty damn good deck. Honestly, it's not as fast as some mono green infect decks but it's much more diverse in terms of utility. I took the plague myrs out because they weren't doing much, and threw in some contentious plans for card draw and easy poison counters. Also threw a lightning greaves in there in place of a livewire lash for shits and gigs and some Inkmoth nexus.

I BEEN WAITING Edit: this is not Aggressive enough, I thought you where going to do mono green turn 2 infect. If you remember live streams a while ago, I played mono green infect vs some deck. I remember losing, but my infect deck (even with 12 creatures) can win turns 2-4 ALMOST consistently. Glisener elf is the one mana infect creature? Anyways it’s too valuable to give up. The pump spells in green are also too good to give up. If you wanted to make blue/black infect, the evasion infect creatures and the crusader should probably be your only creatures. (Maybe iconclaw) I think you run too many creatures. Then there’s almost No good pump in blue/black. Distortion strike is good, vampires bite is ok, but ideal pump is “1 mana +4/+4” and only green has that. I could post a list, but I feel like I’m taking decks you make, making them beater, then your losing money because no1 is looking at your sponsors. So I’ll sent you a link on Facebook, but I’m going to share on public. For your sake

I imagine this deck is splashing blue mostly because that's what people voted for. If I were building on a budget, I'd go with mono black so you could have playsets of plague stinger, phyrexian crusader, and phyrexian vatmother, plus inquisition of kozilek since you could probably afford it if you're not playing some of that blue stuff and save on manabase with all swamps.

Infect is terrible in the modern meta right now. Its because of all the spot removal (fatal pushes, etc). The deck got extremely worse with the banning of probe. If you want a deck like this, play bogles
