This planet is strange. I don't have thalassaphobiaz but the combination of loud, stormy weather with nothing but pure deep water underneath me is terrifying. Its hard to explain and i haven't been able to find anything on it. It gets so bad sometimes that i will literally just sit inside my ship out of pure anxiety.
@susaac97553 жыл бұрын
Same here. I'd like to add that this is basically what i imagined that going through a gas giant's outer layer looked like and i legit got super anxious as the ship went through the atmosphere. I fking hate those things

When I attempted to get the deep impact achievement I flew so far away to get a headstart, and flew so fast that when I flew into the planet, not only did I break through the current but I rammed straight into the core and died.

unfortunatelly, i stopped playing this master piece, because i have some fear problems about the emptiness of the space and things big, when i first stepped in Giant's Deep, i started sweating and being nervous, when i first fell into the blackhole, i closed my eyes in fear it would be hilarious if wouldn't be tragic for me lol

The electricity around the core could be explained as power leaking from the probe tracker
@caps_lock3 жыл бұрын
i dont think so, since feldspar has explained being down there and having to go into the jellyfish for it, implying that the electricity was there before the probe tracker crashed down into giant's deep (which happens directly at the start of the run afaik)
@spacebassist2 жыл бұрын
@@caps_lock yeah you're right, the probe module falls down because the cannon finally fires after the sun goes naturally supernova and that information is sent back for it to start firing probes would that mean the jellyfish are somehow responsible, like an alien ecosystem thing we dont understand?

So the lightning part may not be exactly accurate but i think your idea of metallic water is a good one. Heavy water is a thing its most likely thay the inner core is compromised of sokething other than ordinary water, most likely something more conductive. In addition electricity takes the path of least resistance, and the longer the arc the more power that is required the reason its confined to where it is is becuase thats the farthest it can get with the amount of power that it has. Moreover i think wjat may bery well be happening is that the outer core, the part that is below the current and above the electricity, is also something other than ordinary water, lets call it heavy water becuase of how slow we go in it, i think that the friction of heavy water and metallic water creates a sort of static buildup/current which exists on the surface of the metallic water. This would wxplain why only the surface of it is electrified

I wonder what exactly the core is, this rock or stone thingy coral like stuff.
@TheLoreExplorer5 жыл бұрын
yeah. i think its meant to be coral!
@jackcook90055 жыл бұрын
0:55 its not exactly solely water, it has islands and a coral core so we are looking at +96% or more but not 100%
@TheLoreExplorer5 жыл бұрын
Im not sure the islands are naturally there. And corals are a plant/animal of sorts if i remember right. im not sure theyd add much mass but i could be wrong. And I mention the "never ending storm" on the planet i think.

You make a good point there. Its largely a semantics issue i guess

3:40 I don't exactly understand... if the current pushes up, it should push down somewhere (in that one tornado) really hard (~law of conservation of mass). It doesn't happen. And I don't exactly understand what stops the pressure differential from stabilizing? The differential should be constant in normal environments.
@TheLoreExplorer5 жыл бұрын
Tbh i dont exactly understand it either. but im pretty sure its what is at play here. I could be wrong!

There is also constant although typically mild rainfall onvthe planet as well

there is one tornado on the planet that turns the other way and pushes into the water rather than up into the sky.

I just wanna know how was I supposed to know that I could go under the jellyfish and not get electrocuted. I couldn't find that info in game (at least that I remember) and I had to risk spoilers by looking it up. I mean, I did think about it. But the drones were getting electrocuted so I discarded the hypothesis.

@@TheLoreExplorer yeah but I didn't find feldspar before I found the core, I wanted to get in so I looked it up.
@NK-iu5tf3 жыл бұрын
Well you were supposed to get to Feldspar first. On Giant's deep there is an island with a frozen jellyfish. It says Feldspar left for Dark Bramble. This was the hint. Feldspar, Jellyfish, Dark Bramble. It also was a tile on your rumor panel which was connected to the Giant's Deep Core. It was clear you needed to find Feldspar prior to entering the core.
