@@jimosborne2 they literally tried to sign Russell Wilson. Then when that didn't go through, they tried to trade up in the draft for a QB that Daboll can mold. Schoen when he first arrived, John Mara asked him to not cut DJ but to give him a chance. Mara now probably regrets everything but between Daboll and Schoen, they are actively trying to get a new QB

He didn't pick DJ over Saquon, he bent over backwards to get Barkley signed, ultimately offering Barkley a contract bigger than what the Eagles gave him a year later, precisely so he could free up the franchise tag to use on Jones. Barkley's put them in the awful position of choosing between dumping a QB that had won a playoff game, something not seen in over a decade for this franchise... or giving into his demands on a contract. We should consider ourselves lucky Jones didn't get more years and more guaranteed and left ourselves an out on that contract after this year.

I am not one of those fans who says they are sick of Daboll! Daboll is trying to get this team to gel together with all the constant changes. Daboll won coach of the year 2yrs ago and last season was able to manage to win 6 games with a riddle injured team and no real QB and it cost them in the 2024 draft by missing out on the top 3 QB's. Now be sick of Jones is very understandable and I believe it Jones continues to play like last game he will be put on the bench I give Jones 3 games to show sufficient improvement before he is benched!

Not sure Daboll is the guy. Last year he showed some poor behavior with his Staff as well as Coaching a bad season. Giants are putting out a poor product and the Fans deserve much better. Much much better. Belechick next year with a winning Staff will turn things around.

If you're "looking" for a QB when the other teams that were in need of a QB were already position to the draft the ones you want. You were never seriously looking for one. Washington sold their roster to lock in pick 2. The Giants kept Barkley and won enough games to keep Jones. Devito and Tyrod didn't do anything special out of play with Barkley.
