Stop it, Mahommes had a top TE and a serviceable offensive line. He wasn't comparing Jones to Mahommes talent wise. AND Jones took us to the playoffs and won a game with no receivers and no top TE AND a bad oline. Gotta stop reaching with the Danny hate.

Agreed, he wasnt comparing Jones to Mahommes at all. Just stating the obvious about the impact of poor offensive line play. I believe T Hill was on that KC team as well for the TB SB

exactly. Mahomes walked into a perfect scenario...KC was winning 11+ games a year before he even got there with a QB that was considered a bust (Alex Smith). Alex Smith was the most ripped in QB in the league for a while..the whole narrative around Smith was almost exactly the same as DJs...then he switches teams and had a HOF winning % on KC. Mahomes has never not played with Hall of Fame receivers whether it be Hill, Kelce, or both.

@@Matt90541 you make such a good point. Its not taking anything away from Mahommes to acknowledge that. A golfer once said to me, the clubs dont make the man, but you cannot be the man without the clubs. QBs need a functional offensive line and weapons

agreed. I don’t think Alex and Anthony were hating on DJ, but I also don’t agree that Schoen was making a comparison. He wasn’t saying we have a top tier QB, he was saying we don’t know what we have because nobody would succeed in this scenario.

As Alex said fans can see the same show and read into it something differently, everyone in his staff and Frank Gore all said Barkley is worth the money, they’re are levels to this and they told Schoen a team with money will pay him, they told Schoen nobody is on his level in this offseason FA class

I hate how everyone talk about jones being so bad. When this organization hasn't given him any chance of winning. His offensive line had been the bottom of the barrel since he got the starting job in 2015. Giving up 85 sacks last year was ridiculous.

Every QB in the NFL gets sacked the audacity of Schoen saying Mahomes wouldn’t have succeeded with this line, we wouldn’t have had 85 sacks, our offensive line wasn’t responsible for every sack and the offensive lineman said that. Patrick has pocket presence and doesn’t stare down receivers, looks downfield. Two totally different quarterbacks. But the Jones fans eating it up.

Schoen showed episode one that he was 100% misjudged when it came to Saquan and the running back market for him. Second I feel like instead of fixing our mistakes they are doubling down on it wanting to be right. (Janiel Dones) Yea we paid him but that’s the past what’s done is done, let’s fix it instead of saying “well we paid him 40 mill” .

Not saying DJs injuries are not a concern, but I think any QB behind the NYG 2023 offensive line would get labeled as injury prone. You can only take so many hits by 200-330lb professional tacklers before you get hurt.

Saquon went from a $40M QB to a $50M QB in Jalen Hurts and a better line. He couldn't do it with Saquon being what defenses focus on, and now that he's the focus you think he will succeed in year SIX ? 😂😂

Those few games where AT was injured was some of the worst oline play ive ever seen in my life. Ezeudu at LT and neal are RT would be a death sentence for any qb much less glowinski and mckethan blocking like dogshit

Does anyone know if Daniel Jones had a complete ACL tear or a partial tear? I just don't see how he starts the year playing with how late in the season the tear was. Wandale Robinson's ACL tore earlier in the year and he still didn't play until week 4. So how is Daniel Jones going to be playing when the season starts? The only way that's possible to me is if he had a partial tear and not a complete one.

I read it was a complete tear of the ACL with no damage suffered to any other ligaments. Would need to confirm that but I believe that’s what I read - Anthony

Partial tear or complete tear the healing process mostly depends on the person ability to heal Adrian Peterson came back after 9 mos but he is a freak of nature…..also the position of the player matters as far as playing QB coming off an acl injury affects them differently esp compared to a WR or RB where the stability of the knee is more strenuous because of the route running as far as cutting, stopping, starting etc vs a QB who can stand in the pocket and throw and isn’t running 30-40 routes a game or running the ball 20-25 times a game

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Barkley should have been traded last year at the deadline. They knew then that they weren’t going to tag him or meet his price. I don’t want to hear we had a chance To make the playoffs.

The plan should have been moving on from Daniel Jones. Saquon has been the better player. If Jones was as good as Saquon was a RB Jones would be a probowler. Jones is AWFUL and excuses won't change that.

Really hope that JE is the starting RT before the season starts. I have ZERO faith that Neal will be any better. Still very worried this Oline wont be good enough to get it done...
