I tried it at about half the tension or maybe way less. I had the line almost at max distance. It shot (safely) about 15 meters back. I am ordering the slow release and safety system. So you can use your rachet after the slow release. Think that will work.

Nice video...I have too the X13 but I saw that is impossible to tight the line when you use almost all the 30 meters...it touch the ground, you have to put it at 2 meters high on the tree? I saw that you used only about 20 meters...this is the optimum lenght to use? Only four, five times after I have used the line the yellow textile protections on the hooks broke...is it normal?

Hi I have a Gibbon surferline set up as shown in this video. The ratchet is on the bottom. At 2:58 you show how to release the tension in the ratchet. Im at this stage applying much more force and its not releasing. Should I attempt to oil the locking plate, if not any advice is appreciated. Im able to apply more pressure but it feels like something will violently give.
