I've seen the same tired old crap where a guy fires several shots of a .50 rifle and somehow still has his hearing. Not possible in real life. A soldier once put on his hearing protectors and fired a shot and his ears STILL hurt for a day! He forgot that sometimes, you have to stick plugs in and THEN put on the hearing protectors over them because .50 BMG is a very loud cartridge.
