While at Huber Banjos in Hendersonville Tn. on Friday May 25, 2012 I had the opportunity to video Steve playing a Gibson flathead style 75, 312-8. Steve describes how the tone of a banjo is felt as well as heard.

Steve broke my mum’s kitchen chair when he visited us in the UK some years ago. Jack Hatfield visited too. Think we all went up to Snowdon in the Welsh mountains for a few bluegrass workshops. Good times!

Great stuff! This song (Farewell Blues) recently caught my ear and I've been working on it, stumbled across this video and not only does Steve play great and build great banjos, he can also teach via a video like this. My two Huber banjos say hi, Steve!

So right.... Steve is a real person, what you see is the way he is..... great banjo player and even better person...thanks for the comment David

David-- Steve Huber is not a real person. He is a holographic image emanating from a Central Projection System. His rolls are generated by G-Code programs on the Fanuc 6T control on his lathe.

I like when the pros make mistakes. The little people are given hope when we see it.

Steve's explanation of the PWS is fantastic. That is exactly the way I would have told someone.

Steve Huber is right. This banjo is amazing, or putting it another way, it's dangerous. Instruments like this should carry a health warning. I want it.
