Here is an apples to oranges comparison of two 2024 Gibson custom shop acoustic guitars. The Songwriter is the Custom Shop Ebony cutaway version with Les Paul Custom ornamentation, Baggs Session VTC pickup, Rosewood Back/sides and Sitka Spruce top. Grover tuning gears and brass bridge pins. Gibson 1957 Custom Shop SJ-200 with thin Nitro finish laquer and thermally aged Sitka Spruce top, Maple back and sides.

i’ve always been a fan of the songwriter model because of it’s rosewood and spruce combination,and long scale. The gibson custom shop in bozeman montana did well on these two models. Nice recording quality and presentation as always. thanks, Gary. 🎧 Still love my Martin dreadnoughts. 🖖🏼

i was just in a high end acoustic room I compared d 18s 28s gibson murphy labs etc...a standard gibson songwriter was the winner....well actually take your pick against a d 18

What is the neck shape on the 57 SJ please? I cannot play a v shape or a fat neck.
