Good video Alan, makes me want to get back out there, it's been awhile. Did you notice the line of rocks on the south side of Geralds Knob in the drone shot.
@outbackyonder3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Richard, yes we saw the line of rocks and had a close look at them.

There must be an absolutely incredible sense of freedom when you’re out there in the middle of nowhere away from civilisation I’m so jealous

Great videos thanks. Was just about to ask if the shade cloth in front of the radiator could cause a heat issue when you explained you had to take it off. We go to Arkaroola in summer and it can hit high 40’s . That tip about propping open the bonnet a bit could be useful there?
@outbackyonder3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, it certainly slows down the air flow across the fins. (I have replaced my radiator now though for the record)

@@outbackyonder we looking to take our 99 Prado petrol V6 across the outback soon. She’s done 430,000 kms so will need to nurse her a bit.

G’day Alan, what was your method of navigation? There’s certainly no tracks to Lake Blair and south to Tsakalos Hills. Regards

Navigated with oziexplorer on samsung tablet

Wow, great adventure & video! Just found your channel and have 3 questions (if I may): 1. Does it require specific / additional permits to leave existing tracks and go cross-country? 2. Any reason why you didn‘t check out Geralds Knob first (coming down from Lake Blair)? 3. According to Exploroz Geralds Knob is South from the Gunbarrel and Toms Knob North - did they mix them up? Greetz from Europe
@outbackyonder2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, 1. Depends on the tenure of the land, this land has since changed tenure so would now need extra permission 2. I wasn't sure of the position of Geralds Knob so had to get a fix on it via Charlies Knob. 3. Exploroz Coords are correct, it was I who submitted them after this trip, cheers

Did you write in the visitors book that the plaque had already been removed when you arrived so they know that you didn't remove it and that it's gone, how disappointing that people are that low
