Gibson Knott Wild Camp - 17-05-24

Gibson Knott is a fell I've never camped on, so with a two-day break from work, and a fine forecast, I decided to give this one a try.
Superb conditions made this wild camp one to remember.

I don't think Mother ever took me up Helm Crag, but I do remember people trying to explain to me, when I was little, why it is called The Lion and The Lamm and The Lady At The Piano from t'other side. Enjoyed this one very much, especially the walk through the woods. Take care.

Many thanks again for watching. I really enjoyed this camp, it's a pretty straight forward climb, but has so many options to escape any breeze. I wasn't sure about the woods section, but it was so beautiful with the birds singing. It's a great place to sit and relax. I don't think I'll get out this week, the forecast looks very bleak. Nice one Mal.. looks a hell of a spot, those lower level crags looked tempting too.. right out of the way.. Not a big fan of drone footage but some this was some of the best av seen, nice lighting.. tek care :)

Thanks for watching, Stephen. I should have mentioned in the video that I had the whole fell to myself. I met a couple who were camping on Calf Crag, but that was it. Definitely a great little fell to camp on. Take care.
