It was almost like a prophetic song, looking back on it now, because of Proof's part in the video and then his actual murdered just 2 years later, over a game of pool. I believe Proof is portraying their friend Bugz who was killed in a drive-by right before D12 hit it big. Eminem joined D12 after Bugz was killed. R.I.P. Proof

Proof was shot by Etheridge at the CCC Club after a fight started over a game of billiards. Also that is actually Proof in the video. This dropped in 2004(Encore album) and Proof got shot in 2006

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, or not, but the Chorus was sampled from a Martika song called Toy Soldiers. The song itself deals with her friend's addiction to drugs which she has stated he recovered from. I believe the song was released in 1988 or 1989.

This song ALWAYS makes me cry. Always. No matter how many times I watch it. The contrast bt the children's angelic singing, the military drums, the repeat of the whole military cadence in the singing (left right left. It was way more prevalent in Till I Collapse with a full "yo' left, yo' left, yo' left, right, left!" And here it's double time not regular as in Till I Collapse.) These deaths...just...in vain. So, so sad. Can't imagine the survivors guilt. I've had it happen with friends who passed in accidents etc but never this way. And that hurt so much. 6:48 oh. This scene. Gonna go get tissues...

That is proof potraying another dead D12 member named bugz alrhough its not directly a tribute track towards bugz but it is also slightly a tribute track towards bugz but basically this is eminem saying he has had enough of the beef and is walking from the beef because he "doesn't want see his people hurt or murdered" cause he had to deal with bugz death but then right after it was proof RIP Bugz RIP Proof

To sum this video up very quick this video was in kind of correlation to the beef between Shady aftermath records and Murder Inc when Ja Rule made the song about Haley calling her a w**** and a s*** that's when all hell broke loose and that's when murder ink went downhill The Source magazine went Obsolete and Eminem basically destroyed all their lives

The music video is a dedication to bugz a beloved d12 member who was killed over a water gun. proof was playing him in this music video which sadly proof died the same way bugz died, of gun violence. All the d12 members mention bugz in some songs.

This isnt about proof getting shot its about a former d12 member getting shot and general rap feuds around the time he made it. Ironically though proof played the guy in the music video and years later was also shot and killed. No one really knows why but it was over a game of pool in a club and probablly history between people we dont know about.

There was some serious moments tho like when in the one LA studio Ja Rules guys (and it's kinda vaque was Ja Rule in a car or came with them) took some kitchen knifes and tried to srap Fifty and Tony Yayo. Fifty atleast got hit somewhat but he's Fifty so as going out he stopped to say hi to couple artists coming in while bleeding 😂 and Yayo have said that if they would have had a gun someone would have 100% died. There was actually a lot going on at the time. I don't think we even know nearly everything that happened.

HEAVILY suggest you look into the Eminem, 50 Cent vs Ja Rule, Murder Inc. Beef. There's videos and articles out there about it. It's one of the biggest beefs in rap history. And yeah people do die over it. Look at Tupac and Notorious BIG. While it's arguable that Pac didn't die because of the East v West beef, Biggie dying probably had something to do with that
