Of course one would need antibiotics, analgesics, x-ray, chair and drills (not including the training, skill, experience and surgical assistant to do the procedure. +A dental degree and advanced training.) Even so, the equipment alone would be a bargain compared with using 'the normal suppliers.'

Then the stitches which is fine as you know it's all over! Post operatively, as the anaesthetic wears off you are slightly sore in the area and I do mean slightly. Both times now I have been suprised as how little pain I've felt. For example I'm in the peak of the swelling phase right now.... Just woke up and it's a 0/10 lol. @kimberleygardner53074 жыл бұрын
I've had two implants now and both times they have used bone graft as when they got on their my bone was very soft (I had abscesses years ago in that area which damaged the bone) the graft (apart from being an extra expense) is really not that dramatic as far as I can tell. He puts tiny little powdered shards of synthetic bone into the socket around the implant placement at the time of placement. It does mean though you have to be super careful with eating. Soft/liquid diet for two weeks to encourage the tiny blood vessels to grow into the bone graft. Chewing will break them down if they form. But I have porridge for breakfast. Soup at lunch and very soft Mac and cheese very carefully at dinner then ice-cream or yoghurt. It is boring but hey, I'm not letting this bad boy reject afterglow much it's cost me. Best of luck x

I have done this, two implants in my upper jaw,three days ago,1 year after the sinus lift...I had some complications,maxillar sinusitis,so I had to wait for so long...it's NOT the same expirience for everyone.... P.s. Anesthesia was awful...it was NOT painful at all,but the strange feeling in palate and all my left side of the face and jaw...Feeling like you can't breath....it's just a feeling.... Well,finally,everything is O.K now.... P.s. I'm from Croatia,the procedure here is always performed in local not 'genearl anesthesia'*,no one is 'put to sleep' through the procedure... P.p.s. And NO,it's NOT scary as it seems* Anyone can DO THIS,really* This was my honest review,from my experience;D Greetings from Croatia🤗

Janna do you feel like it's your own permanent teeth please tell me I really need your advice?
@janna77774 жыл бұрын
@@janveekisto6922 I just had implant placement three days ago,it needs time to heel before you can have permanent teeth put on the implant.Gums heal fast,and stiches fall out(I had sinus lift,it takes about 5-7 day for stiches to fall out)but bone where implant is placed takes some period of time to accept implant and to heel so that implant can be well fixed in jaw,and in place.... and only after that period of time,if EVERYTHING IS OK, you can have permanent teeth on implant. IT'S NOT TRUE that you CAN DO IT ALL IN ONE DAY*(have implant placement+permanent teeth in same day) P S I doubt I'll have feeling like it's my own teeth,NOTHING can replace REAL and NATURAL own teeth,but it's definitely THE BEST OPTION there is...

@@janna7777 Actually I don't have much knowledge on the implant and it's procedure but still I want to ask you one thing that does permanent teeth grows under the implant after a period of time after the implant or it does not grow?

@@janveekisto6922 I'm affraid I don't understand what you mean?Implant is placed in the jaw,and on the place only if there is a missing tooth* Implant is substitution for a missing tooth* But it would be nice if we could REGROW our own missing tooth beneath;D Like I said,I didn't understand the question*,so I'm sorry that I can't answer right*

Update: my implant was placed this morning. There was absolutely no pain during surgery. And, even afterward, I've only had one ibuprofen. It is waaaay less painful than getting the baby tooth extracted. My dentist is super. He let me see the implant before he put it in and I got to see the X-ray when everything was said and done. So, don't be afraid people! Just wish my pocketbook wasn't hurting so bad XD

How much does this cost approximately?
@kimberleygardner53074 жыл бұрын
Hello, I paid £160 for the check ups and CT scan and then £800 for the implant and the procedure itself. But you'll need to pay for steroids and antibiotics around the time of surgery and then if you have a bridge that goes onto the tooth the price for that varies but for me will be £265.

Lake Charles Louisiana dentist want 2600 for this procedure. Im getting it done in July. They pulled my bad tooth number 10 out yesterday my gums need to heal before the do the procedure in 5months. After watching this video seems like the should have done it same day , now I will have to get stick with those needles all over again. Warning the numbing meds Won’t take away all the pain you still will feel some pain, but i have confidence you can take it. 😉

CapsLock avoid smoking one week before surgery and 3 weeks after surgery but its recomended to avoid smoking during osseointegration. Also avoid drinking 2 weeks after surgery and no sugar food because sugar increase level of bacteria in your mouth.

I just had implant surgery two days ago. Needed bone graft and screws placed for two implants. They gave me a major sedative to take an hour before my appointment. I felt nothing during surgery. Even feel asleep. If your periodontist says you need them and you’re fortune enough to have coverage, GET IT!! It’s been minimal pain for me (ibuprofen!) and I’m excited for the results. If dr knows what he’s doing you won’t feel any pain during surgery. #softfooddiet
