Amen. The lord lead me to read Gideon's story in a moment when i was struggling. Things don't make sense in my life right now but i know that even though it looks impossible, God will do the impossible and get the glory! Bless him.

Two months later I am back to testify...I watched this when I was jobless, hopeless, almost homeless and penniless. What happened after this is a true miracle. God demonstrated something to me what he did to Gideon. I got a dream Job. I wont lie, God remembered me. I always watch this sermon everyday as I fall asleep in a cozy comfy home, with the hope that more people will realise this sermon and learn that when you are even about to give up and take maybe take your own life, God can turn around the situation. Whatever you might be going through, I pray that God remembers you and smiles upon you and showers you with Heavenly grace and blessings. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

Praise God Arnold. I'm at that place now... jobless penniless...fiance left me, father just passed....but I feel God's direction suddenly and I'm trusting him now. I know things will turn around soon. I had a dream that led me to look at the story of Gideon and thats how I came to this KZbin video.

Thank You for sharing your testimony - Late one afternoon a Woman walked into Whole Foods and we got into a 2 hr. conversation unlike anything I had experienced so the next day I asked brother Albert of God unlimited to pray that God would continue the Poema that He had begun to write over us. The very next day Jody called me and God began to put together a small beginning but Jody got hasty - could you pray with me that the Holy Spirit go and get her - Thank You

Thank you Lord for confirming my prayer. I truly know you with me❤ One thing have learnt through this lesson is that, when we get to the state in our lives where we feel like we are too weak, that is where God begins to show up. Why will God say the people are many lest they say the fought the Medianites by their own strength.

It took me a while but I started figuring this out a few years ago and I found a peace that I never knew. I still on many occasions get confused and have to remind myself about the vast differences between my thoughts and ways compared to his, and once I do that I quickly return to that peaceful place.

In ancient warfare there was one torch bearer for every 20 or 30 troops. So when the Midianites saw 300 torches, they figured the whole place was seething with 6000 to 9000 (plus) attackers. This was a brilliant strategy. It may even have been the same ratio with the trumpet players. Brilliant strategy. And logically, if you are carrying a trumpet in one hand, and a torch in the other, you could not also hold a sword and shield as well let alone fight with them. You couldn't even hold anything in your mouth, because you would need your mouth to blow the trumpet.

Suffering from PTSD from my time in service and 2 deployments I'm watching this because a buddy of mine told me to learn about gideon he felt it would relate to me and I can see why he felt that way from beginning to end only thing that's different is well a buddy a great friend a brother of mine fell and took his last breaths in my arms on my lap and to this day I'm always asking why him and not me I was single didn't have a girlfriend/ wife and no kids but he just got done watching his only child being born while on deployment and he never made it home the way he left and i did well not the way i left persay but why is it I'm able to watch my kids grow bloom and teach them but when i contact my brothers wife she blames me for everything guess I am like gideon by asking GOD why me.

Praying for you this morning. That the Lord would give you peace, comfort and wisdom in your situation. Also praying for your friend's family for healing and peace. Also, thank you for your service to our country. The freedoms we enjoy are because of you and your brothers service to our country. We appreciate you.

God constantly reminds us through scriptures that it is never about our own strengths and knowledge. Like when the children of Israel brought down the walls of Jerico, God never deployed warriors but priests. They never even attacked it, they just circled around it. It doesn't make any sense. But our role is not to make sense of things. Our role is to trust God.

Great message. But I’m not sure anyone likes getting ‘used’. Believing God ‘uses’ us can create a barrier to intimacy. I believe He partners with us. But if I ‘use’ people, people feel used. I’m not sure there’s a passage in Scripture with that word in that context. I’m not being critical. But I’m just hung up on a paradigm I guess. If we believe God uses us, we perhaps inadvertently start to use people.

Perhaps he should have said that they don’t *seem* to make sense. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways -oracle of the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

If you haven't been through things in your life when His choices made no sense to you, it means you are a baby from a spiritual standpoint. And you don't open your Bible too often, either. Give it some time.
