I’ve been using one daily since late summer 2017- absolutely love it

I know it’s an old video, but a friend gave me one of these for Christmas along with the Stanley Coffee Steins and a small survival kit. Anyway, I’m a longtime viewer/subscriber and I figured you had a video on it so I looked it up. Glad you like it. I’m definitely enjoying mine.

stupid question, but does that mean the coffee over brews as it sits at the bottom of the 'flask', or does the fact that it is a 'press' isolate the coffee grounds from the liquid with a layer of air? and if so what happens if the flask is laying on its side in my bag?
@carbman0072 жыл бұрын
stays at the bottom no matter what unti you empty it

I love the Stanley brand items . It would be interesting to see how the aeropress coffee maker stacks up to these two. I know it’s a bit different system but similar idea.

Definitely gonna pick up that Stanley now.

Not bad. But you should also check out the Stanley Adventure French Press. Looks like a HUGE GSI Cup but about the size of a Nalgene. AND you can boil your water in it, thus saving a Separate pot.

Aaron I know you dont use cream or sugar, but could you add it in with either of the systems?

Wish the plunger thing was not made with plastic. I don't like the idea of plastic sitting in hot water 🔥
@nooneknows53907 жыл бұрын
Its similar to the GSI. I remember that vid.

Thanks for video. I prefer keeping my coffee hot to counting ounces. Looks like a good deal to me.

Did you try different sized grounds on either of these? I.e. does one work better with finer ground coffee than the other?

David Brasfield the finer the grounds the harder to depress the plung

This design is so weird how about the coffee bean used remain in the bottom ? U can’t remove it until u drink all the coffee or remove the coffee to another container 🥶what the flask use for ??
@lesliepaulkovacs64427 жыл бұрын
Sorry. It's called the Stanley Adventure Cook and Brew Set. 32oz (1 quart), weighs 1 pound, $25 Amazon price. I'm thinking that it's more "Apples to apples" with the GSI press, whereas the Thermos you showed is more "Apples to Oranges". But I can DEFINITELY use the Thermos for work. Thanks Again.
@littleokie48857 жыл бұрын
Leslie Kovacs you can’t cook with this one, you have to boil your water and then pour it into the thermos. It’s a different press. They do have the Stanley cook and press however. 😃

Too much plastic in my opinion. Why not use the basic metal french press system?

Lol I'm glad I didn't buy that. I thought it was a regular wide mouth thermos
