I'm an MSO and I've had my all hazards prime for more than 6 years. Anyone that knows about maritime will know that our gear goes through hell constantly. Whether it's getting drenched by waves or dragged across the side of a rusty ship or out in the blistering sun. I even accidentally washed it in almost boiling water along with my 2 bangers bag. It did shrink a tiny bit and I had to trim the back plate a little to reinsert it but other than that it was fine. After putting it through the ringer for over 6 years I highly recommend this bag to anyone looking for something that will last a lifetime.

I have a 5.11 shop near me. I needed a new EDC bag which is easily my heaviest and most used bag as it carries my work gear as well as some personal gear and emergency needs gear. I went to the shop to get a rush72 bag because I need large capacity for my daily use and ran across the All Hazards Prime bag. As I compared this to the Rush72 and even the amp bag, the decision was basically made for me. This AHP bag has it all and I have been thrilled with my purchase. I carry a full size laptop and a full host of electronic accessories, IFAK, notebooks, files, emergency needs tools, administrative implements, large water bottle, and more with this bag and its like the bag just keeps asking for more. Quite possibly the best hag I've ever owned for my urban needs

I own a Rush 12 and a Rush 24 pack from 5:11 and they're amazing for wilderness adventures. I never noticed that baton sleeve on the All Hazards pack before, I had to buy a molle attachment to carry an axe. Very cool!

I have this pack and love it. I have camped, hiked, fished and traveled with it. It does everything I need. Just a side note...for those who fly-fish... the outside tubes where the hatchet is also perfectly held a fly rod tube. I carry two rods with me in the mountains to fish at the high mountain lakes. Living in Colorado we have some lakes very high that vehicles cannot go. But I have not had any problems with this pack. It also fits under a seat on the airplanes or in the overhead bins.

Nice video! However, I've reviewed a larger Rush pack by 5.11 last year but I found that the bottoms look to be very thin. I could actually see "daylight" through the bottom. It left me feeling like a naked man in a sandstorm. LOL I have many packs by other manufacturers and I even have a few 5.11's, the "Triad" and a wolf grey Covert pack. I'm selling my Triad, but keeping my wolf grey Covert pack which I really like as my "go-to" pack. I have Jansport, Maxpedition, Filson, Vanquest, and Camel Back packs as well. I'm kind of a pack junkie as I'm sure many folks are. I like 5.11, but if they could just reinforce the bottoms like Maxpedition does. I live a few hours from their factory here in California, so maybe I'll drop by. The worst thing while you're out in the field is to have the bottom rip out and all your stuff lining the trail your walking, or running if you're being chased by a grizley or ex-wife! LOL Other than that, their designs and packs are great! PS, I love all your reviews! You are one of my "go-to" reviewers! I can always count on your unbiased, no nonsense evaluation of gear. Will you be testing any Zombie Tools in the future?

So, have you seen any posts about ripped open bottoms on 5.11 backpacks?
@CunoWiederhold
@CunoWiederhold 8 жыл бұрын
Nope. I didn't mean to imply that they were badly made, as I do own two other 5.11 packs, but when I was shopping for the bigger rush, in the store, I could easily see the thiness and daylight through the bottom of the pack. I have a Maxpedition and the bottom is very well reinforced. THat's where I was going with that.
@PetrPetrovich

Yea, i've got that. i've meant to say, that they are using quite durable fabric overall and i believe it can handle a lot of stress, unless you poke it with a knife or something. By the way , all hazards prime got double padding as i've just checked, and based on it's two compartment structure i think you won't be able to rip bottom unless you cut it.

+gideondtactical Does it have compression straps or can you mount them to it? Also, I would be wearing this on top of a tac vest, with lots of ammo pouches and mags. I need a pack that will allow me to attach a dump pouch for expended mags (so I can reload them later), additional mag pouches and storage pockets of various sizes (I will be carrying lots of medicines, magazines, weapons (firearms, SOG Ranger tomahawk, boxes of ammo, crowbar, etc....). Is this a good pack for my needs as combat and survival pack? BTW, how does it do without the strap for my sternum (I would probably remove sternum strap, as I feel it might possibly impede my quick access to mag pouches on my tac vest)? I like the hatchet pouches for my tomahawk and crowbar. Does the webbing make it easy to add pouches for multitool, flashlight, etc...(on shoulder straps) and the addition of extra pockets and pouches on the pack itself (I will be carrying a lot of gear)? Was kinda looking at this pack to determine if this will fill my needs for a week or so in the wilderness or if I should consider to continue to search for a more roomy and versatile pack with lots of expansion room. Thank you.

Great video and review as always, look forward to each video you put out. I have the All Hazards Nitro pack, find the shoulder straps to be very uncomfortable, especially at the bottom of the straps where the padding ends. That part of the strap kind of flares out and rubs on the inside of my arms as I walk. Being 6' tall and 235 lbs, i wonder if the Prime would fit better.

Actually, and anyone please correct me if I am wrong, but based upon my military and bushcraft experience, I am pretty sure that the webbing is called P.A.L.S., (Pouch Attachment Ladder System), which is commonly misidentified as M.O.L.L.E., (Modular Lightweight Load Carry Equipment), which is the actual backpack or other carrying equipment that has P.A.L.S. webbing sewn on to it. Not a big deal, but we strive for accuracy on Gideon's Tactical. LOL It looks like a nice, albeit expensive pack, so I would buy it, when I could find a much lower price. I have purchased similar packs from Death Dealer Tactical, such as the Anti Venom 24 hour pack. I purchased through GOVX, at a super low sale price for the quality. I usually only make purchases unless I can get fire sale prices, on high quality gear, with free shipping. Sometimes you have to be patient, but be ready to pull the trigger when the deals materialize. I'll put this pack on my watch list on Camel Camel Camel, and when it drops to my desired price, they will notify me. Thanks for the review.

Msilverhammer I try to be as accurate as possible, I'm not sure pals, Molle, same thing in my book. Is sweet back thanks watch brother.
@msilverhammer
@msilverhammer 8 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are right PALS and MOLLE are not the same thing. I am not sure if you read my initial comment accurately...as what I was writing is that PALS and MOLLE are different things. PALS is the actual webbing found on, or actually sewn on MOLLE backpacks, vests, belts, or any other load carrying equipment. So PALS is the webbing, and MOLLE is the device, or the carrier if you will, that the PALS webbing is sewn on or attached to by some method. P.A.L.S. is an acronym for Pouch Attachment Ladder System. M.O.L.L.E. is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load Carrying Equipment. So the backpack that you reviewed is a MOLLE backpack with PALS webbing so that pouches, and other gear can be attached. Whew...glad I got that off my chest! LOL

I know this video is oriented towards the highest quality of packs therefore high price as well. Here in Canada we have to dish out a good $240.00 Canadian in order to get something like this. Does anyone know of any other reliable brand or model of pack that won't run me over $150.00 dollars Canadian, around $100.00 American or less. Looking for something in the 40L to 50L capacity.
