Smooth. I would travel 6 months in Turkey. Aussies know how to survive on safari.

American manufactures are light years behind the Aussies

srok62 not really! The old standard of getting what you paid for still stands. Then you have to take into consideration the exchange rate of currencies and expense. These little Noosa Longlines have a price of over $30,000! By the time you get the Gidget here to your home in America! We were looking at them before there were any importers, that had a major hassle getting them imported without seeing one in real life so to speak. But I do believe they have an importer now. But even though they are very well made, of the best materials, they have a price premium! We ended up buying a cheep old standard, a Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pup, a 16 FQ, that we can stand up and walk around in, with a walk around queen bed, and a good size full dry bath! Yes it does weigh more. Maybe about 80% more, but it cost just under $12,000 brand new! That we have now owned and used 10 times in the passed season, and now plan a month long trip from Mass to Fla in a couple of weeks. With just the money we saved from buying the Wolf Pup over a Gidget Noosa, we had enough money to put a sizable down payment on a new Chevy Colorado Z71,4x4, V6 ext cab to tow it with! If we were to spend premium prices for a premium travel trailer, I would upgrade to a Forest River Surveyor, 24' couples unit, for around 25k! That is still less than the Gidget! Or if we really wanted as good a quality, no question as or better than a Gidget, I would buy an Airstream! Also please note all of RV's and travel trailers sold today in the U. S. A., I would have to say at least 99% are built here st home in America! That is something I can whole heartedly support! Have fun out there and stay safe!!!

@@k.r.v.4219 you did not get the point. It is about minimalism. For somd no need to walk around an rv. Just a bed to lay on is around and sit and cook outdoors , or go to restaurants and bars and beach cafees. The point is it is for a get away in the ausstralian desert. Basic necessities. Speaking off tax and tariffs. Thanks to mr. Trump you wont get shit anything cheap. It is the same in turkey any cars with an engine 2.0 l or more has %220 luxury tax. That is ridicilous . You need a. Extra license and registrstion cost for trailer the hammer, and the motocaravans are usually 5 years and older. I know the aorosteam is top quality aliminium but 175 $ thousands $$$$ price tag is a little bit high. Besides the old models we see it is breaking off. I will check out the rv you mention, thanks God bless.

Does the television have an HDMI port, and if not how easy would it be to replace the television on this model or the bondi? Also how many standard power plugs are their on either this model or the bondi?

It would be helpful to show how to maintain it's beauty. Water drainage goes where? It's obvious a sleeping compartment for 2....yet on a camping trip there' might be a need for a dining tent or a tent for the kids .. Storage for that would be awesome. Also I don't get the cabinets at the head board ..you can't travel with dishes in that Soo how was that intended to be implemented in a camping scenario?

great little trailer. if you got to have wheels that wide. why not make the thing wider, so it goes over wheels. then you would have even more space inside.

how does TV signal come into camper? also, are the outlets for electric usable with electric items in USA? (voltage) not sure about 12V ?
@GidgetRetroCamper8 жыл бұрын
+Calchick7 Hi Calchick, thanks for contacting us. We have a standard built in aerial [similar to car aerial] but also have an extra 12V TV/Satellite plug so a booster aerial or satellite dish can be plugged in. We are building Gidgets for US and Canadian customers right now. These will all have the US cabling and outlets 110V plus there's all the 12V throughout so you can enjoy camping 'off the grid'. The TV is 12V also and we have double USB chargers inside and out so you can charge your iPhones/tablets. Hope this answers your question, if you want our team to answer any further questions or send you information please don't hesitate to send us a direct email to info@thegidget.com.au. Cheers Chris

Karin kemp when I looked last year? They were just under 30k! By the time you imported one here and then finished it! As it does not come wired for the USA power standard and with a 12 volt system and converter! It gets complicated. But by now they might have an importer? Still very expensive! You are better off buying American made rv/travel trailer! You will get a LOT more for your money! Especially per sq/ft!
