Probably one of the best designs I've seen so far. Love the lounge option for rainy days or to get out of the mosquitos here in Arkansas, USA. The wood trim is very nice and I like the storage usage. Well done!

That is the coolest teardrop trailer I have EVER seen. So light you can pull with ease. The extra room pull out feature blew me away. Part of bed into a couch. Nifty feature where you rotate the t.v in and out. Extra storage space. ROOM to put in a heater and a small A.C unit in one of the cabinets. The person that designed that was a thinker. AWESOME.

This is just simply neat.. My family have always been ones to camp semi traditionally.. but for an extended road trip for business or pleasure really.. where the focus is more on the trip than the camping experience.. these seem quite nice.. it is quite impressive the way it is designed and how there are little things hidden to make the space more manageable.. also seems quite nice if something where to happen where you would have to rely on family for a few days.. this is a nice "add your own room." option so your not too imposing on their regular routines..
@00mondeoman9 жыл бұрын
I just stumbled across this video and I've got to say that I was floored when the trailer pulled out - I didn't expect that at all . What a great idea !! You get the retro look , and a bit more room as well . You don't see that here in the US (at least I've never seen it) .

It's a fantastic camper. It's a fantastic demonstration. It's compact, clever and ridiculously overpriced.
@abuventertainment28569 жыл бұрын
These go for around $15,000... A fully equipped RV will run you $100,000 plus, easily. They are not overpriced, using this as a living space is relatively cheap (one-time payment) and sustainable (solar panels, light chassis for eco-friendly mobile living). Lugging this thing along is the best idea I've planned to follow through on in my future, just driving on out into nature and living a simplistic, beautiful life.
@OsakaOutlaw9 жыл бұрын
+Abuv Entertainment I don't know who you buy your RVs from, but they are as expensive if not cheaper than this. Now if your talking a huge one with a second story I might understand.
@abuventertainment28569 жыл бұрын
+IntrepidDiversion I don't own one, but parents of my friends do, and so does my uncle. A RV trailer as fully equipped as this one, made in the last couple years, can easily run you upwards of $100k. You can buy retro models, which are nowhere near as efficient of a load to carry, for $60-80k, depending on condition, and size, pleasantries etc. Not a double decker or anything overboard... Just a normal ass RV. Say 20 feet long and 8 feet high.

The one issue I see could be hooking things like tablets or a laptop screen (via HDMI if even available) to the TV. It the USB ports are on the side how do you access them? Also is the TV HMDI ready? If so then sharing a laptop/tablet with an internet connection means instant streaming!

Hi Nick, check out our specs and you'll find our campers are built of lightweight materials-similar to those used in yachts-lightweight waterproof ply in the walls and structural walls in the cabinetry and a composite plastic for other cabinetry which can't warp or bend or be affected by moisture. No MDf and no particle board anywhere near our Gidgets. We also have a Bells Compact which is designed to be towed behind very small vehicles...all info is available via info@thegidget.com.au or our websites www.thegidget.com.au or www.gidgetusa.com Cheers Chris

Interesting as I saw this exactly/similarly on a San Francisco camping website! I really like the idea but as a regular camper, Australia gets "mega" hot in Summer. Yes parks are closed on such extreme days. But somehow incorporating air conditioning would be a plus. More efficient long life,deep cycle batteries, small wind propellers etc to help in terms of electricity? But then the cost would Increase dramatically? Nor in the spirit of "camping outdoors?" :)

HI Corrigeen71, thanks for your nice comment. We have a full specifications and price list downloadable from our website at www.thegidget.com.au. This details all the inclusions which are a very long list, everything you see is pretty much included as well as the ability to customise some key features...and means you don't need to option up before you can take your Gidget on the road. The Bondi is $18,450 and the Noosa is $23,250 [incl GST]. Both models have the slide-out to Queenslize bed and all the features mentioned in the video and many more not mentioned like the water and waste tank, full panel with meters to check your power and water supply levels, Torsion axle and electric brakes to name some of them. You can also donwload our FAQs from the website and compare between the two models. We use the same quality products and finishes in both, the difference is in the length and some extra features this allows us to include. Right now we are booked out with orders well into August. Orders placed now are an approx end of August delivery, however with streamlined production as the year rolls on there's a chance that we may bring this timeline forward as our orders are rolled out. Hope this helps answer your question. cheers Chris
