I always hated hooking into stingrays. Pulling them in felt like pulling a giant plate out of the water. Biggest one I've ever landed was about 2ft across, that was a good fight. I had hooked into a big old plastic bag a bit earlier in the day and thought my luck was so bad that I had snagged another one. After it started to move against the current I figured I had a fish and not an inanimate object. I broke more off than I landed for sure. Great video Gido, always love seeing what you get up to on the other side of the world. Makes me miss going out to the water just a little bit more every time.

Surf fishing is just about the most exhilarating; running in and out with the surf to cast and retrieve; getting wet.... the sound of the surf; the wind...... and in Australia you got the whole beach to yourself most of the time even at a not so remote location; great nature stuff! I remember once I was surf fishing and there was this hail storm just out of no where; nowhere no hide, fortunately they weren't the big stuff; still hurt though... an experience I would not forget for sure!

Gido you need to hook up with field days (Fdys). He has caught some slobs over the years. Huge silver ghosts. You have to find those nice deep gutters and nice big baits. He also uses Taylor’s for bait and seems to do pretty good when he’s out hunting the ghosts. Love you videos bud. Keep them coming. Between your channel and field days I’m now convinced that I need to make a month long trip down under. I’m in the US and I need to come fishing in Australia. Maybe not the cliff scaling you do since I’m not much of a climber but I love fishing on the sand and in the ocean. Thanks for keeping the videos coming.

@@ianrawlings2546 When we moved to Albany in '68 with very cash poor parents, my mum cooked a variety of (fresh) salmon dishes including mornay, curry, soup and particularly, fresh crumbed cutlets. They kept our family from going hungry and I am thankful for that. Agreed ..... their flesh is dry and stringy if not consumed straight away but if bled immediately and kept cool then cooked fresh, it's damned hard to beat. Fresh is best

Here's a tip: try charring or at least heating up the tortilla in a pan or on the fire before you top it with ingredients. It (obviously) warms it up but also makes it more pliable, adds a bit of flavor from browning/char, and helps rid it of that somewhat 'raw' taste. Yes, I know tortillas aren't actually raw but when they're cold and straight out of the bag they tend to have a bit of raw flavor. Just a suggestion. Loved the vid as usual!
