I'm tellin' you what, Gido, this video was absolutely Awesome. The scenery, waves, and clear, deep blue water was beautiful. Seriously, I don't know how you scamper over those sea washed rocks in your bare feet. The jagged edges and precarious places you stand to fish and catch your scaly prizes are indeed a feat beyond my ability. I absolutely enjoyed what you showed us and I couldn't stop smiling. I think I even smelled the ocean breezes, the fresh salty water, and the rocks that were deposited with seaweed and and other little critters. Some day, if only in my dreams, I'll fish those heavenly places!

@@extremechimpout lol. I eat what I catch, and release anything I don't want to eat. In general, if I catch something really big, it goes back. This is because the bigger fish are often the breeders. Sadly, that catch and release doesn't happen often for me.

And some days, you just end up KILLING it! Epic trip, mate, what more could a man want, right? A most beautiful environment, peaceful, pristine, serene- and the birds at night to serenade you into slumber. All of this- then the fishing itself... wow Gido, this video, just watching it, put me in a whole different place on a Sunday afternoon. It put me at ease and I was able to relax and enjoy the tiny slice of peace and oneness with the Earth, sea, and sky that you brought to all of us. It really does make me appreciate all the hard work and preparation, the time, the equipment, the production and the editing- I want to say THANK YOU, Gido, very much for doing your thing and then sharing it with us. Happy New Year to you and your family, and although I truly believe the rest of the world may be coming apart at the seams right now in so many places, even if it is only right here, you bring all your viewers a slice of tranquility in turbid times. Much love and peace to all

I was wrong, there were a few things I could use to navigate. Like Jupiter at 26:17 starting to disappear behind the rocks and the Zodiac sign Taurus the bull, Orion, the Pleiades aka the seven sisters and of course The Andromeda Galaxy - something that we can definitely never see from here in Stockholm, Sweden! It was a bit of a mind f*ck because everything was “up side down” compared to the last 63 years! 😂

New Zealand is so beautiful and the locations you’ve been at have been spectacular. When my younger brother was in high school, he won a trip to a world rifle meet in New Zealand. We were on the same team, here in Texas but he got picked. I was so disappointed, but happy for him.

I have seen a tool used to help fish being released, that have swim bladder problems. Its like a needle you use to poke a small hole through the belly, it heals quickly and saves a fish that otherwise would die from being brought up from the deep.

Bet the fishing is stellar on them as well. Hard to believe that places like this still exist- South Florida waters have been pillaged by all accounts, between the fishing masses and the freshwater runoff created by overbuilding, etc. I can see why certain places are protected, and it's a good thing in a lot of cases. Cheers!
