Hi again John! Some new technologies help, but I must say that in the time I have this very high spinal cord injury, 27 years, not much news has been developed, nothing that really makes a big difference. We need a repair of the spinal cord, but that appears to be too difficult. I see care robots coming first (after FSD), can be very helpful, but is no repair. Big Elon fan here, Neuralink wow, but their approach is not to repair, not to only bypass, but to add on a low-res non-biotech nervous system. That is not a biological repair.

I thought about the wind generator many times as a diy survival hack, but never took the time. Thanks for exploring that one. I wonder how many every-day appliances are thrown away that have parts which could be salvaged to make something useful, like what they have done in Cuba for so many years. Excellent work, I really appreciate the peaceful atmosphere you present with, free of all anxiety. I subscribed upon my first viewing. Never give up! You make a difference ;) God Bless...

Thanks Jason. And agree: all the stuff we through away, that is crazy and unsustainable (unless we get to 100% recycling + 100% solar/wind energy). We should make stuff more: durable, repairable, upgradeable, reusable, and easy to recycle.

Saw the fan into a turbine video, haven't finished it yet but the commentary so far is great. I was laughing my ass off that you mentioned it can be found in the trash. We really do throw things away that should be school science projects.. You are amazing and VERY inspiring for me to be a better bear. I'm usually pretty angry and it doesn't get me anywhere. Thanks brother. Liked and Sub'd I'm with you lets make the world a better place. Life is short in EVERY sense.. Lets just try to make it better for everyone. You're smile made mine better. I smiled back. :D

@@Trebseig you do you your ceiling fan wind turbine video was great! I appreciate that regardless of your challenges you're still uploading videos. Me on the other hand I have alot of ideas for similar diy type inventions yet with a 100% able body and the resources I have no videos up. I might "steal" your idea and see what I can make of it. I always wondered why wheelchairs are still state of the art, yours is clearly one of the best models but still it's just an improvement on a centuries old design. Wouldn't something in between an exoskeleton and a wheelchair be more useful ? Something that allows to bring a body into a standing position on demand ? Is there a medical reason for always being in a sitting state ?
@Trebseig2 жыл бұрын
Hey Ha Ka. Wheelchairs.. all wheelchairs on the market are the same old story, chairs on wheels. Some may look fancy but I hate all of them. The top halve gives bad body support and drive unit is only good for driving inside really. Also: way to expensive! An exoskeleton and then stand & walk is actually not a good solution because: it will cause all kinds of pressure wounds, and I will probably faint (low blood pressure). These are the medical reasons for always being in a sitting state. But some sort of sitting exoskeleton could work and be a great improvement. And now the good part: My main project at this time is to design a better wheelchair. Check my website: www.laesieworks.com/ and then go to the super wheelchair.
@haka87022 жыл бұрын
@@Trebseig Glad to see you are working on this, i realize you spent quite some time already :) Regarding blood pressure, that's likely a lot related to the sitting state. If I am in bed for a long time and get up my blood pressure is bad, can get dizzy. I also think that it's an important thing for a person's psyche to be able to look someone into the eyes and not always look up. Even if temporarily, a 'superchair' needs to be able to bring someone into a more standing posture imho. Given an exoskeleton, imagine it would be able to stimulate leg muscles (those are among the easiest to stimulate efficiently), of course not to make them walk, but to make grow a bit. Wish you the best luck, it's ridiculous how bad the state of the current technology that supports disabled and elderly is. I bet you'll have some sort of success, all it needs is brain and dedication.
@Trebseig2 жыл бұрын
@@haka8702 I like/agree with your points. Sitting up more does train the bloodpressure, but when having no control over muscles, low muscles tension drains the blood away from the brains. What is very difficult in the super wheelchair design, is all the different wishes: standing up, fast, lichtweight, full body support, small, go up stairs, safe, cheap, and my favorite; fly. They can not all be combined. What I also need: a large good team and time.
