To the people who were saying that "Why development happen in gujarat only?" First of all the idea of gift city was propose by state government before the BJP was power in Central government. And also the state government will execute the Gujarat Model without the help of central government in starting. And the people who say that it will make from indian taxpayer is not right, because as per the reports the Gujarat will be the Top Rank state in terms of tax collections. Whenever there is any news of development in Gujarat, people start critisising him for only focusing on Gujarat and not India... But you guys Just hold on and read the following... The northeastern development, Kashmir infra, metro projects in 20 cities (from different states) and total 1000 kms of metro under construction, before 2014 there was just 200kms of metro network and in just 9 years 600 kms have been completed... Expressways , highways etc have been doubled then the whole 60 years of congress ... In 60 years 70 airports and in 9 years new additional 70 airports ... Less then 10 AIIMS in 60+ years and 15 AIIMS in 9 just years ... All of this is in whole India and not just in Gujarat.... And gift city and Dholera were planned when he was CM of Gujarat... And now that he became PM, he will make sure that the project gets completed... That's it... Don't be so misguided by it...

Odisha is a cyclone prone state but west of Eastern Ghats, there is Kosala region of Odisha and Chhattisgarh where factories are easy to setup. We in Chhattisgarh also have Steel plant in Bhilai, Thermal power plant in Korba and Seepat, Bilaspur. We also have many coal fields and is 2nd in producing coal in India with 18% of coal in India comes from CG alone. Baaki Aluminums ke liye bauxite mine hai Chhattisgarh me aur Aluminum ore ka leading producer hai India me, ALuminium Silicon chip banane ke liye chahiye rehta hai. Chhattisgarh me produce ho sakta hai. Odisha me bhi Aluminum manufacturing industry hai to wahan se bhi supply aate rehenge aur Odisha ke ports ke through shipment kar sakte hai. Baaki Jharkhand, Odisha, CG teeno ke paas India ke 70% coal reserves hai, lekin jitna hamare states provide karte hai utna hamko milta nahi. Bas ye hai ki ham rote nahi :)

Even though GIFT City offers advantages unparalleled in the country, it has failed to attract businesses and investments. Also growth is very slow. It cant replace even Ahmedabad in GDP or PPP in coming 20/30 years. Long way to go. Most of the projects in GIFT are incomplete or ongoing from 2007.
